Thanks Everyone…

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

Thanks Tomas, Kathy, Bill, Linda, Coryn, Eilene, Donna, Jane, Joy,
Don, et al. for all your encouraging and helpful responses to my
questions/problem.
I have a lot to “get real” about when it comes to food, I guess.
I didn’t think I was eating many avoids, but I guess I wouldn’t feel
like this if I weren’t.
It is good to read about others who have (had) similar digestive
problems and what they are doing to control them. Thanks to all who
shared. Thanks, too, for the suggestions about portable meals. While
making things in bulk usually doesn’t leave me with leftovers (my
fiance eats 3 times as much as I do, so If I make 4 servings, it’s
gone in one meal)and if I make something like spaghetti or pizza
(sans avoids, I promise), I can’t make enough to last through the
next morning. Seriously, I’ve seen him make 4 large pizza’s
dissapear in less than 36 hours.

GERD

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Hi all!
Does anyone know of a co relational link between O’s and occurrence
of GERD? Are we more or less likely to suffer from it? In any case,
is there an O specific plan of attack in relieving it?
When I first started the O diet (after many years of eating almost
exclusively avoids as a veggie), I felt a lot better, but I’ve
noticed some of my old digestive problems have returned. I won’t
gross you out with the gory details, suffice to say my stomach hurts
constantly and nothing I eat “sits well”.
Any ideas on the subject would be appreciated.
Wonder and Joy,
Eva :)

The Path

Friday, July 6th, 2007

“Peace originates with the flow of
things– its heart is like the movement
of the wind and waves. The Way is like the
veins that circulate blood through our bodies,
following the natural flow of the life force. If you
are separated in the slightest from that divine
essence, you are far off the path.”
Seems Morihei Ueshiba was a fan of the blood-type diet before it got popular. Or
even invented.
Axel O+ secretor
P.S. I also think Morihei would support adherence to the diet, even strict
adherence for some. But that’s just my impression!

Our Future President

Friday, July 6th, 2007

It saddens me to think that Senator Joseph Lieberman is no longer running for
President.
I’m surprised. I thought that someone who looks that much like Alek James Hidell
would surely get a popular vote, by coolness association alone!
C’mon! The guys got class. Didn’t you see him with Gore way back in ‘00? He was
all wholesome and Orthodox Jewish and everything. You know all those Jews,
especially ORTHODOX Jews are so wholesome and wonderful!
But seriously, folks. Joe’s likeness to Alek James Hidell was, in my opinion,
the trump card. In this age of electronic enlightenment, when everyone, on their
own or no, has access to the Internet’s cumocopia of pornography (and not just
regular pornography, I mean INTERNET pornography!) there must surely have been
people who voted on the Alek James Hidell factor alone. An Orthodox Jew Alek
James Hidell look-alike! Joe, I want you to know you’ve got a friend in me…
especially if you make those whores gag & choke on your huge p—

raw foods

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007

hi guys,, thanks for the info on raw foods
So, these people that Jill and Thomas have seen who’ve got stricty “raw” seem
unhealthy,,, that’s interesting! didn’t our early ancestors do only raw?
When Dr. D says at least 1 cup cooked/raw veg’s per day.. I guess some of
that should be cooked. Does anyone know of a book or list that lists fruits
and veg’s and which are better nutritionally cooked or raw ? It seems to me
fruits are better raw (glycemic level seems to go up when cooked),,, and
certain veg’s are better cooked than raw. Love ya all ,, Leslie

soft beans

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007

Ooh…
You know how nifty these quick-cooking pre-soaked beans are? Even if some of the
adzukis can get soft relatively quickly I think it is still a good idea to cook
them for a while. Ease of consumption may not equate to ease of digestion…
I… had some interesting action going on… down there… today. Yesterday I
quick cooked some adzuki beans, most of them had gotten so soft after only about
15 minutes of cooking that I thought to myself “What the heck, why don’t I eat
some now?”
I’m glad I get to move around during my workday. That’s all I’m going to say.
Well. I went all insane this weekend. And the snow really fell, too. Snow always
puts me into a romantic mood. When it lasts several days I begin to wonder about
my use of energy, though.
You know Connie Nielsen from Devil’s Advocate? That’s almost what I’m talking
about. World class caliber. Ouch. It just doesn’t stop being exciting. That’s
the thing. It just didn’t stop. That and all the other stuff. Some dreams become

braised greens

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

the greens recipe sounds great,, thanks! is heating honey ok?,,, I’ve
read that this destroys its healthy properties .. and the pineapple juice w/
veggies might go against food combining principles?…
Starting to lean towards raw vegetable eating lately..(seems that’s what our
early ancestors must have done- and cooking seems to loose the good
enzymes… (that raw cook chef, Juliani from CA says, “for food to be raw and
living
and therefore the most nutritious and in the form evolutionarily intended for
human consumption, it must never be subjected to heat above 120 degrees”.
Have you guys seen any evidence to back this up? is it ok to eat organic
turnips, sweet potatoes, beets, etc. raw? and does anyone have a good veg.
only juice drink recipe? Always questions,, have a healthy day, Leslie

Thank you was re: giving up wheat

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

Hi everyone,
A big thank you to everyone who replied to my question about giving up
wheat. This is a very supportive list. You have given me a lot of food for
thought. I can see I will have to really plan the food for the first couple
of weeks so I’m not hungry and reaching for the wrong food. I’m so glad so
many people responded and were able to give me a few different perspectives.
I’m sure I’ll be asking some more questions soon :-) Annette

giving up wheat

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

Hi,
I have just started investigating ER4YT and I’m struggling with the idea of
giving up wheat. Can you give me some tips? Is it best to substitute with
neutral/beneficial flours or just give up bread-type products.
I’d love some advice.
