Blue Oyster Cult

From: lescase@…
husb. had to see Blue Oyster Cult… remember them?!) <<
I went to see them on the 13th at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma (where
I live). What a great show!! I used to listen to them in HS but they never
really regained popularity after Reaper and Godzilla. It was great music
nonetheless and I hope that you had a good time too!

Hi O’s!,, thanks for the grass fed suggestions,,, and agree w/ those who
get the weird teeth from leafy greens.. I think generally they are hard to
get used to.. it’s a struggle finding a palatible way to get them ingested!
even w/ the olive oil + garlic !…
Had a bad experience last weekend,,, we were on a trip to Sequim, WA (my
husb. had to see Blue Oyster Cult… remember them?!) and I ate some fried
shrimp and a plate of french fries (any of you know Ivars in Seattle?) that
night
was miserable !!! Felt like I had a boulder in my stomach that didn’t know
where to go next, up or down !! then a cold came on which I’m on the tail
end of… I don’t know if I’ll ever (never say never) eat another french fry
in my life!!
Here’s a question… is there anyone out there that has not benefitted from
ER??! One thing I continue to wonder is how did all those people over time
,, generations and generations consume diets that were not blood type

eat your protein

I was a veggie until I heard about ER4Yt. The book made so much sense I
tried it, for a month … I wasn’t willing to add meat for that month but I
did cut out wheat, corn, dairy, potatoes and coffee. I felt so much better
(and lost a few pounds) so I decided to eat meat. That was hard but I felt
soooo much better! Immediate energy.
For a long while I ate a lot of rice products (rice milk, rice cakes, rice
crackers, rice pasta - oh ya and rice) and I found a wonderful rye bread to
substitute what I was used to. Not getting that ones health improves
considerably when giving up grains I struggled with this way of eating.
About a year ago when I ‘mostly’ gave up grains and ate meat and eggs I
started to feel considerably better, lost weight and loved what I put into
my mouth.
Almost every day someone asks me if I am following Atkins and I have to
explain I have been low carbing for years because it makes me feel better.
In fact for us O’s (and maybe for a lot of others) many of the new low carb

It was in Atkins’s “New Diet Revolution” that he spoke of substances that the
body experiences an allergic reaction to that may be addictive, regardless of
their undesirable effects in the body. Part of this is because of our own body’s
response to the offending compounds. Dairy and wheat cause us to release a
morphine-like substance, it is thought that our own (endogenous) secreted
hormones cause this addiction response. IOW, we can become “hooked” on our
bodies *response* to a compound in the offending food, not necessarily the food
itself.

Food-Cumbining!

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

Hey Os!
I see poor Thomas Dickheady is now involved in another conversation with some
insensitive Os who like to eat anything on their acceptable list in any
combination.
So sad that a freakin’ A has to tell an O how and what to eat.
Hey kids, the food-combining rules vary from food-combining list/theory to
list/theory.
I already provided a short list sometime this year, a few selections of
food-combining sites.
You can do your own search, if you have the massive brain power required for
such a task. Search “food combining”.
My biggest problem with the food-combining lists I’ve seen are the no tofu with
grains (tofu, is it a protein or a fat?). There are some complexities to the
food-combining stuff going around. For instance, various lettuces can be
combined with animal proteins, fruits, vegetables and carbs. Tomatoes are often

Hi O’s ,, Lately I’m noticing how many people are on thyroid meds like
Sythroid and Levoxyl… just doesn’t seem natural for so many people’s thyroid
to be on the fritz ! Any thoughts out there on this? Is it shortage of iodine
in the diet? hormonal imbalances? Thanks guys,, Leslie

So.
Have any of you guys used the magnesium at the end of the day, during the last
meat meal (mineral absorption advantage)? I’ve been experimenting with the ZMA
stuff and it sure works as a helpful nutritional boost that easily facilitates
sleep.
And we all know what we can do in that physiological state, eh, fellow Os?
Did anyone out there recall anything about protein digestive enzymes and figs? I
saw that not too long ago, somewhere… it’s all so blurry.
Hey dudes, anyone out there in the vastness of internet-land hear Aaron Jay
Kernis’s “Colored Field”?
I find it makes good “real-life-movie” music. I like the 3rd part at around 16
minutes. That’s when I pay more attention. Then I listened to it again. And a
few parts here and there once more. It travels with me. It changes, blends with
other things. I liked Barber very much for that, too. How it comes back.
