I used to brew Kombucha and I'll say it's definately a vinegar and
probably will test as an avoid. The first glass I had of the stuff,
my body went "ahhhhhh!" so I took my friend's offer of a sponge and
began brewing my own. After a couple of weeks, though, my body was
not saying "ahhh" anymore and started saying "ewww". I began
drinking less and less, and my poor Kombucha sponge died of neglect.

Hi, Sue!
Welcome to the ER List! I hope you find us to be very helpful.
Kombucha is not listed in Dr. D's food lists, but I'm going to stick my
neck out and say that, since it is a vinegar, and vinegar is an Avoid for
Os (except for apple cider vinegar), I would leave it alone. Especially if
you have problems with candida, molds, etc., it is best Avoided. I hope
this doesn't spoil your day.

It was so wonderful to read a book that reinforced the way I felt. I had
always felt guilty or stupid because I craved red meat since all of the diets
and
health mags said fish or chicken. I started the diet and never looked back.
It made such good sense.
I still read about saturated fats causing clogged arteries even though recent
studies prove otherwise.
