every day, since Monday) and other detox reactions including very swollen
glands, skin rashes, yellow gunk from my sinuses / throat, and exhaustion. I
started PhytoCal last Saturday, almost a week ago. I'm taking 2-4 caps per
day with meals. The symptoms are worse when I take 4 caps per day. This is
the 4th time I've tried to start taking PhytoCal, and each time gave up on
day 3 or 4 due to the symptoms above.
Could PhytoCal be causing my body to detox? As in, I'm finally getting some
minerals I need, and so my body is going through some intense healing? I
appreciate your thoughts.

Heh. And that other response concurring with the above. Interesting.
Well, there is 25 mg of nettle leaf. Half the daily intake of zinc. It's got a
lot of K (phytonadione). Some D. And of course the calcium is unique in that it
is from a "seaweed base" from two species of sea weed. I had deeper sleep after
I first began supplementing with the phytocal-O (as I recall). It definently
<!--more-->
does something beyond the average supplement. Don't recall ever having a detox
episode. I would agree with the possibility of the body undergoing a detox phase
if something, such as the nutrients in phytocal-O, were to provide something to
give the body the extra strength, or kick, to rid itself of something or working
on extra repairs or some such task. Or maybe you're reacting to something, maybe
something listed in the "other ingredients" section?
It recommends 3 capsules daily. Why are you taking 4 capsules a day?
