proof is in the pudding?
When I was a raw foodist, the topic of eat right for your type came up here
and there. It is very frowned upon in the raw foodist community. They say there
is no scientific proof behind it. I always held my tongue as I knew nothing
about it. Well, I have to say that since I started replacing the stuff on my
avoid list with stuff on either the neutral or beneficial list, I have felt so
much better.
When I found after eating raw for a year, that I was pregnant, I could no
longer eat raw. It made me sick to even look at produce let alone eat it. Then
after I had my son, I found I could not return to the raw ways. So, I started to
seek what my body needed which brought me here. I don’t care what others say
anymore. The proof for me is right here, in my body.
I am so glad already. It is going to take me a while to work on totally
bringing this way of life into my life, but I know it is worth it.
I just wanted to say that.
Thank you for listening.
Warmly,
Jill

Hi, Thomas!
I see that you got your baptism by fire on the PaleoDiet List! I’m sorry
about that. When I first subbed and posted my thoughts on something, it
was called “silly.” Some of those guys are like that. They really don’t
know that ABO blood types are determined by lectins, and it makes sense
that some lectins in foods could be compatible with some of the lectins
that typed your blood (Beneficials); some could be averse (Avoids), and
others might not have any impact (Neutrals). They do know about toxic
lectins, which are found in the Neolithic foods–grains, legumes, and
dairy–no matter the blood type. Apparently they do not agglutinate the blood.
A thought struck me just today that it is probably next to impossible to
eat a Paleo Diet, because most of our food did not exist back in those
days. It has been tampered with, not just today’s gene splicing, but
yesterday’s
cross breeding and selective breeding. Luther Burbank comes to mind as big
in this. I read somewhere that our ancient ancestors ate leafy greens that
were much more bitter than ours, fruits have been bred to be much sweeter
and larger, grains are much bigger and wheat has a lot more gluten in
it. I may post something to this effect next time the knuckle draggers
mouth off.
Sorry for the off topic digression. I hope some of this info is
interesting to the rest of this list.
