green beans aren’t a veggie :-(
Eileen and all,
I wanted to mention that green beans actually come out of the “bean”
category (not the vegetable category) if you are using the LR4YT frequency /
portion guidelines.
I was unhappy to discover that, but alas, it’s good information to have.
That broccoli as a beneficial vegetable is so much preferable to green
beans, a neutral bean.

Emmi, I always looked at them as a veggie, too, and checked and double-checked
with Dr. D’s folks, and indeed, though it’s listed in the vegetable section in
LR4YT, when counting servings of beans and veggies, it comes out of the bean
bucket.

Ok, I see in the type base Green/Snap/String Beans = O neutral, Yes it’s under
the catogory of Beans/Legumes. Strange…
I sort of remembered from the old BB Dr. D or Heidi saying green beans were to
be counted as a veggie.
Guess we can go either way, LOL
