Hi Eva, ]
Safeway stores have Seltzer Water and Club Soda (both beneficial) in 2
Liter bottles for 99¢ (on sale 79¢). Other grocers seem to have
small bottles of Seltzer (Canada Dry). Hope that helps.

No, it's more like pop without the cola. Carbonated water. The
carbonation is what helps with gas so mineral water wouldn't be
the same. Canada Dry is one brand name and my King Soopers
(Kroger) also has their own brand. I use the plain to make my
own ginger ale (I think I posted that recipe earlier if you look
through the archieves) or add it to pineapple or cherry juice
(sometimes the juice straight is just too sweet).
Does that help?

Seltzer water is just carbonated water. "Sparkling waters" seem to be less
carbonated to me. When I've read the ingredients for tonic water, it has
other stuff added to it.

Eva
San Pelligrino is sparkling water and I'm sure that's fine, but tonic water
has high fructose corn syrup in it (unless you can find that one corn free
tonic sold in connecticut). But even if you did, tonic is still a sweetened
beverage (at least it is in the US, I'm not sure what tonic would be in other
countries.

They also have cherry, raspberry, cranberry and orange flavors
for the seltzer waters. And the seltzers help with gas problems.

Okay I need to get well because feeling like this sucks. I am
constipated and have gas in my chest and shoulders along with the acid
reflux I feel like I am having a heart attack. I am sure I am not but my
anxiety is only making things worse. I feel like I just need to go on a
simple plan for a couple weeks to get started on this. But I am having a
hard time figuring out what to eat. Can someone help me plan a 2 week
menu of beneficial foods that are bland or light or something. I can
munch on jerky during the day to help from getting to hungry and light
headed. I really like homemade carrot/apple juice so I don't mind having
juice with my meals. I have not been eating much lately because nothing
sits well. I have lost 4 pounds in the last few days. But my stomach is
also shrinking so that is good. It helps me stay full longer on the
small amounts that I do eat.
I understand now.. no grains, corn or diary. So then I sit here
thinking.. What is left? I can't have and don't like fish. So that is
<!--more-->
out. Most veggies are gross. I feel like I am back at square one :-(

LOL--Drop carbs. Eat protein and fat. You're going to have to figure out

You can "engineer" this all you want to but the basics for Os is eat protein
and fat and avoid grains, dairy, and nightshade vegetables except for tomatoes.
Initially, I would get off of ALL grains and dairy completely including EZ
bread. Go a couple of weeks and then eat some EZ bread and see what it does to
you. It doesn't agree with me.
You can eat O friendly vegetables with protein and fat and that's all you
should be eating. Eat O friendly fruit by itself 3 hours before or 3 hours
after
your regular meal. If you're trying to lose weight stay away from fruit and
high carb O friendly veggies.
Think steak and salad or roast and salad or chicken or fish and salad.
<!--more-->
Forget variety and complexity at first until you detox your body (2 weeks to a
month). When you get the crazy cravings from withdrawl have protein finger food
around to eat (jerky, hot dogs, lunchmeat, tuna, sardines, etc.). A lot of
other people on this list had better finger food than I did but that's what
worked for me.
If you don't cheat, you're going to feel great and really notice the
difference in your health. Over time you'll figure out what avoids are least
harmful
to you. For me, abstaining from grains and coffee made a tremendous
difference. Dairy less so. After you detox, you have to fine tune the diet to
your
body. There is no one size fits all. Enjoy.
