Jumping in…

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

Just to say a quick “hi” to my friends.
Fellow Os, Biltong people, progressive legume-curd/fungus yackers:
After all this time it is pleasurable to read the newbies jubilation over how
they are beginning to feel on their new diet!
Welcome to the world of the Real. The only diet (so far) that recognizes the
importance of a little known branch of science involving “genetics”, which I’ve
heard may emerge in the future (maybe even the NEAR future!) as a dramatic step
up in understanding the inner-workings of the human body. This diet may not be
simple, it may not be easy at first, but take heart (I’ll take mine rare….):
it will improve your cognitive abilities if you stay true to Dr. D!
Os, you may be cool enough to share a gene with a rhesus monkey, maybe you’re
not that cool. That’s okay. You may secrete your antigens, or not. That’s okay
too. We’re all here together in this. Of all the blood-types, it is us Os who
need to band together as one tribe against the onslaught of this terrible modern
age! We are the most unbalanced with the high-carb low-mineral sabotaging diet

Hi Kathy..
I can’t seem to eat meats or fish as they taste like
blood, which is why I throw up..my parents tried to
make me eat it as a child and I couldn’t.
My son is exactly the same.. from being a baby when I
was weaning him and you mash up their food he’d find
the bits of meat I’d mixed in and spit them out.
So has anyone any ideas as to other proteins I can
eat. I eat alot of soya products like Quorn, are they
ok to eat instead of meat.
*I am sorry for you, about the meat thing. I don’t really understand though…

wetting my cereals

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

Coryn, I usually use a little whipping cream, thinned with water to wet the
cereals,( which I rarely eat though) I figure whipping cream is mostly fat
anyway, and I’m not allergic to dairy products in that sense, so it works just
fine for me… and it tastes good. LOL

Trying to understand cholesterol

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Hi. I was looking at the US RDA list thingy and it says to have no more than
300mg of cholesterol a day. Well…I blow clear past that just eating
breakfast!!! So what is the RDA for us on ER4YT?? And for protein, it says 65g
per 2000 calories. What is ours supposed to be?
I will try rice milk, although I tried that once and…ewwwwww! But the thought
of naked oatmeal doesn’t sit right with me either! I can live without soy. It’s
not that big of a thing to me. But I do like to eat cereals wet. What to
do…what to do….
Gosh, blueberries are good right now! I am going to go whip up some blueberry
oat flaxseed spelt muffins….yum!

Tom,
couldn’t have said it any better. Same fellings here. You do have a way of
expressing the way it has felt for me too for the last 4 years,(since living
with this diet.)
Thanks.

Julie, about the barfing….

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

Please don’t be too concerned about someone making the jokes here. We get a
little punchy sometimes, but it’s not personal. This really is a fantastic
group. I’ve been on this list about 4 years, and have learned such valuable and
helpful information.
I really would like to add to the discussion that might help you, so here are
my thoughts (I confess up front, I am an avowed carnivore. Even before I
knew of ER4YT, I would steal raw hamburger when making burgers, and eat it all
up).
First of all, I am wondering if the “barfing” reaction to meat is
psychological. Are you a person who feels strongly about the ethics of animals
as a food
source for humans, or do you perhaps have extreme discomfort with information
you have seen/read about the way our food source animals are treated and
slaughtered? Are you by chance a person who is more than just an “animal
lover”,
