wetting my cereals
Coryn, I usually use a little whipping cream, thinned with water to wet the
cereals,( which I rarely eat though) I figure whipping cream is mostly fat
anyway, and I’m not allergic to dairy products in that sense, so it works just
fine for me… and it tastes good. LOL

In studying the ingredients of rice milk ………….I am wondering about
the Rice Dream brand. Ingredients are as follows: Filtered water, brown
rice (partially milled), expeller pressed high oleic safflower oil, and sea
salt………………….and vanilla in the vanilla one.
Is this terrible?????????????????? I would like to not want it, but have
so little I can enjoy orally right now that I want to at least figure out how
terribly horrible this could be for me?????????? It doesn”t say
carrageenan….which I understand is not something I should ingest??
Any
comments????

Thanks for that infor on Safflower cereal………and yes I hope some folks
in the food industry begin to become aware of some of our sensitivities and
come up with some new and ok additives.

I feel the same way about corn syrup. It’s in almost everything.

Here is a recipe that doesn’t need milk. I have it once in a while
using the frozen blueberries. It’s good. From the book “Flax Your Way
To Better Health” by Jane Reinhardt-Martin, RD, LD.
BOB’S PORRIDGE
1/2 cup dry oatmeal —1/2 cup blueberries
l cup water —2 TBLS ground flaxseed
Mix oatmeal, water, and flaxseed in an ovesized bowl. Microwaave on
HIGH for approximately 2 to3 minutes. Add blueberries and enjoy! Makes
a single serving.
