Thomas,
Pardon the curiosity attack this morning… but… The point about
almonds being an incomplete protein spurred another question that
I’ve wondered about periodically… what does your body DO with
incomplete proteins, basically? Vs. complete ones.
I’ve read how certain aminos get shuttled off to do this or that but
never really heard the above question addressed. I suppose as adjunct
to that I’m wondering if incomplete proteins are more likely to be
metabolized for energy (”burned” for energy is really a misnomer
isn’t it?) and what functions they’re incapable of? (I suppose it
would depend on what aminos were missing in whichever incomplete
protein source.)
CB
PS: Is there a meat or other ‘whole protein’ that’s in what you or
D’Adamo or someone else considers really optimal ratios for Os to
utilize all of (without metabolizing the aminos just for fuel)? (I
suppose maybe it also depends on what the body needs, such as heavy
rebuilding after an injury vs., I don’t know, something else!)
