Troubled skin on upper abdomen means…?

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

Does a slight breakout or chronic one in this area mean anything in
particular? (Seems like it would potentially have something to do
with digestion, but would appreciate more elaboration on the topic.
Bacterial or fungal/yeast origin more likely?)

Thyroid and Kelp…

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

I started reading ER4YT and being excited about getting healtt went
out and bought a Kelp dietary supplement (sugar and starch free.
Well, I started having problems with my throat. Couldn’t breath, very
sore throat. Thought maybe I had strep throat , but Dr. couldn’t
find anything. Went back becasue it became worse. The Dr. said it
felt as if my thyroid was enlarged. My thyroid test was okay. i
stopped taking the Kelp and I haven’t had the problem since then.
Kind of scared to start again. Does anyone know about this happening
before. I find that Dr. aren’t to knowledgeable about nutrition (or
many other things as well. LOL
Thanks in advance, Gabby

So WHICH colloidal mineral supplement?

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

In specific, what works against gray hair (in practice, not just that
it says copper on the label)? It’s not easy to find colloidal
supplements that don’t have glycerine, etc. added. Anyone have an
opinion on whether the T.J. Clark minerals product is junk or jewels?

Gray Hair and Dead Doctors

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

Well, I learn something new everyday. I have blond hair with gray mixed in
and I wondered why it seemed like some of my gray hair was disappearing instead
of increasing. It was so subtle that I thought I was just seeing things. My
friends (who refuse to go on the diet) think I’m nuts. If I lose all of my
gray hair, they’re going to think I’m a warlock or something.
The “Dead Doctors Don’t Lie” is a great tape. The doctor who made it started
out as a vet who autopsied animals then became a pathologist who autopsied
people. He found that virtually every nonviolent human death was from a mineral
deficiency. His unique viewpoint came about because when he autopsied
animals he looked for the cause of death from a preventative standpoint where
the
animals diets could be modified so they would live longer. He found the same
thing in humans but the medical approach is to treat the illness not adjust diet
to prevent illness. Just remember that a cow eats about 4 times what we eat
daily, has one or two calves a year for 20 years and never needs to floss or

younger than I look

Friday, December 29th, 2006

Greetings fello O’s,
I have a concern I thought someone here might know something about. Since my
early 30’s, I have slowly been getting gray hair (call the waah-mbulance!), but
since starting this diet/lifestyle 2 years ago, the graying has accelerated
dramatically (perhaps a coincidence?). I am currently 45, an O-nonsecretor, and
about half of my hair is gray! This is too soon!…my mind still thinks we’re
35. My first thought is that the graying indicates that I am aging more rapidly;
is this necessarily so? I must admit that I am not 100% avoid free when it comes
to my eating habits (maybe 75%), though I am moving in that direction…slowly
(its that coffee, chocolate and dairy again!). I also do not get adequate rest
(average is about 6-6.5 hrs./night) and am in need of more regular intense
exercise. Otherwise, I am in very good shape though often tired these days
(duh).
Anyway, does anyone have any thoughts on this? Is gray hair synonymous with
aging and is it possible for the hair to change back from gray to the natural

soy formula for babies

Hello,
Long time since I’ve said anything here!
I’m in Oz and am trying to cook a U.S. recipe that calls for 2 “sticks” of
butter. We don’t have “sticks” of butter here so I wondered if someone
there can tell me how much is in a “stick” so I can put in the correct
amount???

New to this

Thursday, December 28th, 2006

HI,
I am new to this, recently diagnosed with pemphigus. I am going to
try to fight it with this diet along with meds, and hopefully get rid
of some excess weight along the way. Because of the sterioids I need
to really be careful. So, I am type O and was wondering what is
secretor status and how do I get it checked? And what is the best and
most comprehensive book with food lists for O type? The book I read
was very basic introduction for all types and many foods I eat are
not on my lists…Thanks for helping the newbie.
Sincerely,
Beth

Mad Cow Question

Thursday, December 28th, 2006

Hi Fellow Type 0s!
In light of the recent mad cow incident in Canada and the fact that five
bulls who mated with her were sent to Wyoming, does anyone out there start
to wonder about the trustworthiness of our beef supply here in the U.S.? Do
any of you have any information, facts, or opinions about this situation.
I am a Type O who needs my beef, and I recently vowed not to touch any beef
or milk unless it’s organic. Any comments?

Source for supplements

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

Hello all,
I’ve found a great source of supplements that is excellent and
inexpensive: www.beyond-a-century.com. They have larch
arabinogalactin, rhodeola rosea, and others that I take regularly; for
example, 100 grams of larch (ARA6 equivalent) is $15.75….Dr.
D’Adamo’s website sells 100 grams for $34.95.
Customer service is good, questions answered, plus they have detailed
descriptions of the uses for all of their supplements. It’s not a
fancy website, but everything I’ve ordered has been of excellent quality.
