Digest Number 1377

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

To Jennifer and others trying to get pregnant. Traditional Chinese medicine
states the following:
* Exercise
* Rest well
* Avoid junk food, caffeine, tobacco, sodas, sweeteners, and refined
carbohydrates.
* Do not eat any meat or animal products, which have been treated with
growth hormone. This includes most of the meat, eggs, milk products and
cheese found at the supermarket.
* Avoid dairy products, raw vegetables, and cold foods.
* Eat foods which tonify the kidney and spleen, and supplement your diet
with blue-green algae, wheat grass, and green power foods
Sounds very similar to ER4YT wisdom doesn’t it!?

To help gain weight

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

Does anyone know if eating right for the bloodtype will help someone GAIN
weight? My husband is not underweight, but he needs to gain.
I’ve just started reading more about the ER4YT and am trying to make the changes
for at least myself, but am wondering if this would possibly be beneficial for
him too.
Thanks!

Anyone get quick energy from steak?

Monday, August 21st, 2006

This is another thing that puzzles me. If I’m fatigued, a couple
bites into a steak and energy appears from nowhere. It’s not like the
meat has had a chance to digest. And I *certainly* don’t get an
energy boost immediately from other foods (let’s not even discuss
carbs). So, outside of some odd placebo effect, what, why would this
happen?

Anyone swell up (or gain weight) around environmental allergens?

Monday, August 21st, 2006

I was wondering if anyone who’s sensitive enough to food allergens to
need to follow the blood type diet ALSO notices odd things when
they’re around irritants like pesticides, etc.?
In particular - do you think allergens or environmental irritants
have made you literally swell up (like retain water through a
histamine reaction) - or even more than that, maybe have ongoing
weight gain?
Thanks for your thoughts on that…

Hello….new here

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

I wanted to introduce myself. I have just recently joined this list in hopes of
education and support in learning to eat the right way, change my eating,
permanently. I would also like to lose some weight.
I am blood type O - and have done cleansings before, but never really focused on
major eating habit changes.
Interestingly enough, in my reading/research about eating right for the
bloodtypes, I have found that this could play a role in my infertility. Anyone
with that type of information, background or success story - I’d love to hear
more!
Hopefully with my personal changes, my husband (O +) will join me in these
permanent changes as well!
I look forward to learning more and “meeting” new people!
Jennifer

Funny Thing

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

Recently we went home, where we use to live. And came together with
all the family, I was surprised that I was the smallest female since
I had allways had been the biggest. It gave me a great ego boost to
know that Iam on the right track. And no turning back for me. My
husband loves it and recently I didnt know this, he really didnt like
me to be a large women. He never complained because he loves small
or big which is great. And I will be turning 45 this year and I will
smaller than I was when I was a teenager and firm. Linda

Parsley root REVISED

Saturday, August 19th, 2006

Yesterday I mentioned how excited I was about the tasty parsley root.
Well, afteer 2 more meals of it, I ended up realizing it for what it
is…..Like Kohlrabi, broccoli stalk, carrots, …..I only like the
skin….it’s much too “starchy” for a PROTEIN TYPE like moi. You
could probably make ‘french fries’ out of it.
But i enjoyed skinnin/peeling the outside of the root(with all its
hairy extensions) for the saute…. and just chuckin the inside bulk
of it. To boot, you get a BIG BUNCH of parsley leaves that are
AWESOME in a oil/butter sautee….AND MY BREATH IS QUITE….different
& sprite.
So, the bottomline is, if your a CARBO type….this is a great
fibrous & starchy option for ya…just hand me the outer skin, willya?

vanilla

Friday, August 18th, 2006

Vanilla is a neutral . . . my mother brought me some vanilla from Mexico . . .
the label is in spanish so I don’t know what it says, but I think it is not pure
vanilla . . . is says “Ingredients: Agua, extractivos de 15% de vainas de
vainilla, alcohol etilico y propilen glico”
I shouldn’t be using this, should I?
Thanks, Trish
