Glucosamine

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

Hi Everyone,
I know that this question has been discussed before at great length, but at
that time I didn’t need it so I didn’t pay enough attention.
What kind of Glucosamine are O’s supposed to take. I remember it is
different than the common kind you see in the HFS.
I lent my book to someone and can’t look it up at the moment.
Thanks,

Rice Paper

Friday, August 25th, 2006

OK, I finally found some Rice Paper and it’s RICE PAPER. It’s easier to
write on than eat. It’s a little thinner than I thought it would be. More
like a giant poker chip that bends. Are there any ideas out there on how to
best use it? Help please.

no aluminum foil

Friday, August 25th, 2006

Kili,
Don’t cook fish in foil, the metal releases things when heated that your body
does not want or need.
You can buy parchment paper and use that instead. This is not the same as
waxed paper!!!!! Nowadays, I find parchment paper at the supermarket, in a
roll in the same aisle as foil and saran wrap. Formerly, I had to buy it at
Williams Sonoma. Now it’s at the local store, and very affordable.
Here’s a quick recipe, for any mild, white fish:
Cut a piece of parchment paper, approx 12×18″. Fold in over in half, then
open it up and lay it flat, and brush or spray olive oil on the side facing
up. Take minced carrot, garlic, onion, leek, celery, whatever you have, and
put about 2 TBL. on one half of the oiled side. Place a filet of firm white
fish like bass or halibut, on the vegetables, about 4-5 oz fish. Cover the
fish with another 1-2 TBL. minced veggies. Put a lemon wedge on top. Fold
up the parchment paper, and put in the oven, on a baking sheet, for 10-15

possible avoid in taco seasoning?

Friday, August 25th, 2006

I wouldn’t eat anything from a package like that. Most of it is all
chemicals and lots of sodium. Instead make your own tasty seasoning with
garlic onions tomatoes and green peppers. :o) Healthy for You!

Grass fed is different, but not bad. If you have ever eaten a steak in
Europe, odds are it was grass fed. It is a little stringier, had a slightly

but then again I like to drown my meat in sauce and toppings!

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

Does anyone have a list of fast food or sit down restaurants and choices on the
menus that are *somewhat* fairly “approved” for the O type diet?
Thanks,
Jennifer

Damon to Delve Into Food Conspiracy
Matt Damon will rejoin his “Ocean’s 11″ director Steven Soderbergh
for the screen adaptation of “The Informant,” based on a book by
New York Times investigative reporter Kurt Eichenwald, reports
Variety. Reviews of the book, first published in July 2001,
suggest that the story — a true one — has more plot twists than
a John Grisham novel. In 1992 the FBI stumbled upon Mark
Whitacre, a top executive at the Archer Daniels Midland corporation
(a multi-national food conglomerate), who was willing to act as a
U.S. government witness to a vast price-fixing conspiracy that
reached into Russia and Japan. Whitacre wore a wire for more
than two years, providing the bureau with hundreds of hours of
tapes of ADM executives conspiring to, among other things, replace
sugar with high fructose syrup in the world’s food products.

Hi there, I’m an oldie but a newbie w/ questions

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

Dear all,
Before I post my questions I want to say that I’m new to the list,
O-non, but I’ve
been practicing ER4YT since 1996. I’m lucky to have had someone
recommend it to me years ago. It has taken years to adjust my habits
and to
see the health improvements, but I get healthier and healthier as
time goes
on.
I work hard, I commute, but I make sure I cook and exercise. IT ISN”T
EASY
TO FIND TIME TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!! The health improvements are a
huge incentive for me to continue to refine my diet and lifestyle.
For exercise, I do weight training 1 to 3x a week and for aerobics, I
workout by
