? on natural supplements for menopause

Last month had my gynie check up and doctor is not prescribing
premarin any longer. I’m finishing up my prescription taking one
every other day instead of stopping cold. Have read Natural Hormone
Balance for Women and he suggests certain supplements and food options
in lieu of a prescription for estriol.
So far only having trouble getting a good night’s sleep and a little
warm occasionally, but I’m really concerned about bone loss down the
road. Have been taking one 5 HTP at night and that seems to help with
sleep. Is there anyone on the list that has taken 5 HTP regularly for
a while? Are there any problems with taking that long term? And has
anyone taken natural supplements to help with bone loss? Any comments
would be greatly appreciated.
