EAT ORGASMICALLY - 3 principles

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

These principles may help you along during these “trying” holidays:
(Some seem like Dr. D kinda talked about this)
1.)Always say to yourself after eating: “I really enjoyed that!”
NEVER say to yourself: “I wish I had not eaten that.”
2.)When you feel hungry between meals remember:”HUnger is
losing weight.”
3.)Control comfort eating and the mood to eat by asking yourself
“Do I really want it?”
If yes, then go ahead and enjoy it.
If you are not sure, wait and see how you feel a bit later.
Good book. Still reading it. I especially like, “the art of
compensation” principle, which has to do with regulating food portion
sizes.

EPIPHANY…..for those who want to ER4YT on the “road” COLD!!!!

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

Some of you might know that i pack 9 meals of steamed veggies & meats
(3meals/3 days worth) in 9 buckets. Stores well. Anyway, I found
out that if I have to be somewhere away from a stove, I’ll just COOK
the food beforehand with all the oils, butters, & spices….put it in
my “NASA” cooler bag, and when i eat it cold, it’s not that bad.
It beats just eatin the food cold but not really sauteed. Ican’t
believe i never thought of this in a serious way.

Mini-SWEET bell peppers

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

Just tried tthese little bugggers. ONly colors are red, orange, and
occasionally yella. They’re tiny and only have a few seeds. The
stem is really the only NOT EDIBLE thing. Also, sometimes you should
take an irregular bite to see if the inside has “browned” a bit. I
personally find them TOO swweeet if i eat more than 2.
Dr. D is very vague on his classifications. He classifies a “red
pepper” as beneficial for me, but you don’t know if he’s talkin the
spicy kind or the sweet bells.

I’m baaaack…..

I couldn’t wait to get back and read all my ER e-mails! I have just returned
from visiting the family for a week. Foodwise, I did ok, and was able to get
them to eat meat and salads for most meals. I took my supplements with me
(Probiotic, Deflect, Immune-Calm and Stomach-Ease), and took them faithfully.
That helped with the non-compliant meals I couldn’t avoid (there were only
2-3 of those). I also just skipped a few meals, when nothing was available,
and drank tons of water instead.
LOL, Linda I’m glad you got your household moved, and I loved the story about
someone stealing your pants! I think you should take it as a compliment.
Obviously, you have excellent taste in clothing!

Saw this show the other night on animal planet on parasites called “Eaten
Alive”. It showed people who had eaten raw foods had all kinds of things
crawling around in and falling out of them both large and small and all
disgusting. Sorry but my sushi will be cinder before it’s food for me.

Attentive Eating

Monday, July 17th, 2006

After reading the article on Attentive
Eating by one of those Instincto nutty
doctors….I’ve applied it
to my own eating habits. Strange. I don’t
eat with the radio or TV on(or if i it’s on
I block it out) and boy sometimes I can’t
even finish my measly meal. I swear I might
be cutting my intake(which ain’t that much) by
up to 30%. I know Barry Sears(THE ZONE) was a
guy who told you to eat your prescribed meal
even if you didn’t feel hungry. (also I have
up to a gallon of water a day)
This even applies to bad food. I had this “bad
urge” to eat a snack food(something) when i was
at a job this wkend. I threw my 75 cents for a

anybody in England interested in Sally Fallon “Nourshing Traditi

Monday, July 17th, 2006

Hi
Just wondering if others have Sally Fallon’s cookbook “Nourishing
Traditions” and if it is making any difference to their tolerance to grains
and dairy? Also anybody in England interested? If wheat is an avoid BUT
sprouted wheat is HB then isn’t the answer to avoids PROPERLY preparing them
aka Ms Fallon…or am I just being thick? She advocates raw unpasterurised
milk allowed to ferment with pima powder [whatever that is] also raw fish
and meat that has “matured” with lemon juice enzymes.
I have many allergies to even HB foods like olives so I am grasping at any
straw that will maybe let me eat more foods without horrible allergic side
effects.
Thank you
Kae

WRAPS!!

Monday, July 17th, 2006

I must admit, i have a real tummy spot for thin tortillas or crepes
(i.e. cannoloni) for “carrying” my foods.
Currently I am taking advantage of the large leave outcrops of
collard greeens, swiss chards and using it for that purpose(sauteed
of course). Has anyone else noticed this in the produce section?
