Secretor or Non

Sunday, May 21st, 2006

Thanks Max, I did give up cola’s since they are nonnies. That was
hard because for me it was like giving up cigarettes. Its still
trial and error for the foods we need to eat. I just need to learn
receipts and cook the meals. I have made this my lifestyle and I
plan to stick with it since I have lost 55lbs. I do have a question,
I like canned stewed tomatoes not fresh. They have to be cooked
before I will eat them. Is this ok or not. Still learning, Linda

secretor or non-secretor

Outside of the test you have to take to find out. Is there a simplier
way. I use to drink coca-cola everday and about 1 year ago. I
found out the caffene made me hurt all over, like I had the flu. The
sugar gave me infections. Is this one way to tell which one you are,
secretor or not. Also I found out if I drank a soda the next morning
I would be congested like having an allergy attack. Has anyone else
experienced this happening to them. Linda

Hi everyone I see sometimes people put this down on there postings.
Is this something we should check for the O’s. And how important is
this to following the lifestyle.

CoQ10

up with particular attention to concomitant drug therapy.
Just a comment. I found that my doctors were, essentially, clueless to this
treatment and told me they vaguely remembered something but nothing
conclusive. They gave me meds and told me to follow the AMA diet. Needless
to say, I would have been dead by now.
Nothing like a life threatening event like congestive heart failure to get
your attention so I started taking CoQ10 (30 mg) about 4 years ago when I
went on this diet. My heart function has dramatically improved and the
doctors really can’t explain it because I’m supposed to get worse but they’re

I love to have smoothies for breakfast but usually use milk. Do some
of you have some recipes to share? I would be delighted, it will
help me get over my bagel. ;o)
Thanks for the wonderful welcome.

Raja’s Cup (was: What To Do)

Wednesday, May 17th, 2006

<<Sounds interesting. Is this a tea, coffee, or what?
Max - Raja’s Cup is it’s own animal and hard to describe. It’s not tea and
it’s not coffee and you either love it or you hate it. Personally I’m quite
fond of it (particularly on a cold evening) and besides, it’s very high in
antioxidants. If you’ve given up coffee the day before you drink it you may
not think it tastes exactly like coffee, but if it’s been awhile, you’ll be
pretty impressed with the similarity.
Here’s a description:
The power of antioxidants, the taste of coffee! The kings — ‘rajas’ — of
ancient India drank a nourishing ayurvedic beverage for strength and overall
well-being. Now you too can enjoy the health benefits and rich-roasted
flavor of Raja’s CupT. A precise blend of four potent herbs — Clearing Nut,
Kasmard, Licorice and Winter Cherry — this time-tested beverage helps
promote well-being and vitality. Published research shows that Raja’s CupT
has hundreds of times the antioxidant power of Vitamin C or Vitamin E. And

Neutrals that I have

Monday, May 15th, 2006

Ann,
Sorry I’ve not answered your question for awhile. Sometimes it is a little
hectic around here! We were specifically talking about how to add more
variety to the “O” diet, and I find that is done with neutrals. If you try
to eat only HB, then the list is indeed very limited. The neutrals list in
each category is quite large. The list of everything I buy would be too long
to post here, but here is my method.
I went through the food lists, and I made a master list. For instance, under
“vegetables”, I went through Dr. D’s list, and I made my own list of HB and
Neutral items. But, I only listed the items I like. I did this for each
category, such as fruit, herb & spice, meat, etc. I wrote this all down in a
little three-ring binder (pocket size) that I keep in my kitchen. I use this
list as the basis for my shopping list every week, and also as my
“inventory”. Each week before I go to the store, I check the supplies I have
on hand of everything on my list, and then I prepare my shopping list from
