I Need Distilled Vinegar
Hi,
I need to take distilled vinegar as an only avoid for me to do ER4YT.
I remember what it is now that’s making me this way : coconut oil. I
get benefit from VCNO [virgin coconut oil] but it has seemed to make
me too alkaline so I need to take betaine HCL and that isn’t enough -
I also NEED to take vinegar every day or I will not be able to eat
alkaline foods like broccoli, carrots, etc.
When this happened to me in July, I quit ER and started eating
sandwiches with whole grain breads, milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.
I keep experimenting.
I still think I can do well on ER4YT but vinegar is something I’m
going to need to take. I NEED vinegar if I’m going to continue with
3.5 tbs. of VCNO daily and do ER4YT.
VCNO is very helpful to stimulate thyroid, Hep C, candida, balancing
cholesterol and blood lipids, and much more. I am sold on VCNO. My
depression is starting to clear up after several years because of VCNO
via thyroid stimulation.
I use VCNO exclusively of all other oils except butter/ghee.
I will build my world around VCNOil.
Ray Peat recommends a ‘thyroid salad’ of grated carrot, vinegar,
Celtic sea salt, and VCNO.
Jack Tips ND Ph.D says we need to take vinegar or the body will have
to make it’s own. Distilled vinegar is the only type I tolerate. It
does not contain viable yeasts.

Distilled vinegar is an avoid. That means you should avoid it. You
don’t need it. Coconut oil and other fats do not change your pH. If
you have low HCl, then take some Betaine HCl, not VINEGAR!!! OH MY
GOD!!! Your insane enthusiasm for Coconut Oil has almost reached the
point of pissing me off! (Be calm Ryan!) Ray Peat is a scientist
specializing in hormones, not a physician, and not schooled in blood
type theory. ‘Jack Tips’ (if that’s his real name) is a renowned quack
who got his “degrees” from a diploma mill. He is a ‘master’ of
‘Sclerology,’ the ’science’ (quackery) of interpreting the red lines in
the whites of the eyes!!! Please (and I mean this in the nicest way
possible) refrain from spreading your quacky drivel to our scientific
diet group.

If you had my body you’d do best to have an open mind to more than one
health care provider/diet because one way of eating does not work
perfectly for everyone. I need to take the best of ER4YT to make it
work for me, my way. The most important thing for me to do is avoid
dairy products, and as many avoids as possible, and rarely or never
eat grains.
I’m sure that Peter has scratched his head many times and knows very
well what it’s like to have hard to manage patients like myself.
Namecalling is not the way to go. I doubt very much that Jack Tips or
Peter ever resort to namecalling of their colleagues or anyone else.
I try to stay friends with all. I can learn from them, even if I
don’t eat quite the way they do.
If they’ve never tried ER4YT, or VCNO in therapeutic doses, they
cannot judge it.

A lot of white, distilled Vinegar is made from grains. You may be poisoning
yourself and thinking it’s the meat that’s making you sick. Your body may
not have enough time to recover from the “poison” to assimulate the
beneficial effects of meat. In the past, the only problems I ever had with
my colon were caused by eating too much bread and grains and that was years
before I went on the ER4YT diet.
The doctor told my mother that her spastic colon problems were aggravated by
eating white bread because it “balls up”. We all stopped eating white bread
and our colon problems went away. Little did I know then that there was a
lot more to the story and that the grain lectins were probably stripping away
protective mucus from my intestines and causing a “leaky gut” type of
reaction.
I would think that your saturating yourself with vinegar is equivalent to
eating a bunch of bread except it’s already in a liquid form and goes into
solution quicker. Don’t you get acid stomach feeling, earping, or heartburn
or feel sick when you take it? I hope this is helping you. It is so hard to
figure out what’s going on when we eat a mixture of things. I thought for
years and years that meat was causing all of my problems but it was the
avoids I ate with it. You may just need time to heal and detox.
I would recommed that you try the ER4YT diet with NO avoids (no exceptions)
for a week or two and see if you feel better. The one thing I know is that
when I literally eat myself sick I can get back my health by simply going
back to ER4YT. If you give it an honest chance, you’ll be amazed but it
won’t work if you pick and choose avoids to eat. There’s a reason why
they’re avoids. The sicker you are the more they affect you and the longer
it takes to recover. I’ve been there too, Joe.
