More Rantings from an O on Usenet

Monday, March 20th, 2006

Hello fellow blood-type dieters. Today I am including a post I recently uploaded
to a certain newsgroup. I posted a helpful advice for an older person who wanted
to know how they could recuperate faster after weight training. Of course, my
unorthodox advice was hardly appreciated. I got a little angry and sent some
respones that angered others. Then I got my head back on straight and sent this.
The reason I’m posting this to the group is because it relates to the BTD and
low-carb, both of which apply to us. I’m hoping by exposing to everyone another
one of my rants on the topic of diet and the state of our Western world on this
topic that it will help others when talking about the diet to unbelievers. (who
must be converted to our Mighty Biltong God at all costs!)
And now for the long rant on diets:
Hmmm. What I’m seeing is people criticizing a diet they haven’t tried
(no, doing it wrong with a bad doctor is NOT going on the blood-type
diet) and aren’t willing to look into the actual PEOPLE who have been
on it for some significant length of time.

farmer cheese

Friday, March 17th, 2006

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me why “farmer cheese” is a
neutral. It’s actually pretty yummy, but I can’t help thinking I
shouldn’t be eating it because it’s dairy, right? Does anyone know
what’s the deal?

New here/new to diet

Friday, March 17th, 2006

Hello everyone!
I am so excited I just picked up CRYT today at the library. My
husband and I are ready to take this healthy step in our lives. We
are both O positive and overweight, looking forward to weight loss
and general health benefits. The thing I love is that a lot of foods
that I love are beneficial to me and a lot I avoid already are bad,
so the science behind it all makes sense to me. I have a question
though to the group. I have candida overgrowth. I know cutting out
the sugars with the type O diet will be beneficial, but has anyone
had any succes controlling candida with this diet? If so what
modifications did ou need to make to the diet?
Thank you so much!

digression alert

Friday, March 17th, 2006

Yes, Max, I know exactly how you feel, helpless is the word. Seems I have talked
till blue in the face and they keep dying all around me. They really think I’m
not pulling a full train, after all, I’m not a doctor. It is so sad to loose all
your friends and relatives to junkfood.
I guess venting helps, …..sometimes,

PS. have been telling 2 BILs about your success for 2 years now, nothing sinks
in……

Cook Right 4 Your Type

Thursday, March 16th, 2006

I have an extra hardback copy of Cook Right 4 Your Blood Type. I was going
to post it on half.com but then I thought that I should ask if any of you
wanted it first. I’m selling it for $12 plus postage of your choice ($2
media mail). It has some small stains on the pages opposite the spine (can’t
think of what its called) but is in very good shape. If only one person
wants it great, if more than one person wants it, to be fair to those of us
on digest, I will collect names and do a lottery on Sunday. Hope this
doesn’t offend anyone but it seemed silly not to tell you about it.

no microwaving veggies? =(

Thursday, March 16th, 2006

Ryan, you said it is better to steam veggies, and I agree. I thought if I
microwave them, that is the same thing. I microwave green beans or broccoli a
few times each week. If you explained why this is not healthy, I missed that.
Would you please tell us (or re-tell us) what’s wrong with microwaving the
veggies?
PS, thanks for the info on bringing food to the theater. At our local theater
(I think it’s an AMC), they DO make you open your shopping bag, backpack, purse,
etc. They are quite insistent that if you eat on their premises, then you eat
one of their belly-bombs.

“I hate to say it but has anyone else looked in other people’s carts at the
grocery checkout lane? Frightening. Hershey bars, frozen dinners, pizzas,
twinkies, etc. and of course, diet soda!!.”
and:
“Have any of you eaten the food they serve in the heart wing of a hospital? My
God, it’s a wonder people survive the visit. It tastes like sugared packing
material. I had my sister sneaking in Big Macs and I was begging for ham
sandwiches during snack time (the only identifiable protein available–no
chicken surprise thank you) every night.”
Max
Yes. Tell me about it, Max! I’ve been working in two neighborhood convenience
stores, a regular 24-hour supermarket (night shift), a HFS (Outpost Natural
Foods in Milwaukee, WI) and a pharmacy over the past six years. No matter what
place, what demographic group, what time of day, most people are getting
pre-packaged, processed, devitalized foods. Crap. And much of it has poisenous
