<description>I think we were all talking about Canker Sores. Thomas mentioned cold
sores, which are caused by the herpes simplex I virus, only to
distinguish them.

<description>It is prudent to avoid all arginine-dominant foods. These include:
Grains, nuts, seeds, brown rice (OK, it's a grain but just for
emphasis), soy, raisins (and other dried sweet fruits), chocolate, carob
Eliminate these, add the lysine, and emphasize lysine-rich foods such as:
Fish, eggs, dairy (not cow), beef (MEAT!)
Copious amounts of green tea and spicy foods (chiles=capsacinoids) also
 help me.
 Cheers,
 Ryan
P.S. As usual, your body is telling you what it needs. Give it more
lysine and you can add back in some arginine-dominant foods later.
Balance is the key. I actually just got two really bad canker sores
last week, tried to ignore them and buckled down with the same
recommendations I am giving you. They stopped hurting in 24 hours and
 were gone in 48.
