Food Lists

I know I should know this by now…..where’s the most current food list
located?
When I started BT at the end of May, my ND just told me not to worry about
it all for now….just avoid wheat, corn, dairy, which I’ve done (although
not wonderfully on the wheat). But now I’m ready to move into the next step.

    Hi Richard & Claudia,
Most recent food list is in the “Live Right4Your Type” book.
Rice is a great substitute for wheat.
And I’ve just discovered a brand called
“Nature’s Hilights” with a BROWN RICE PIZZA CRUST, MADE WITH WHOLE
GRAIN RICE”…..It does have a 1/8 Tablespoon or Teaspoon of White
    Potato. Phone #1/800/313/6454.
White Potato is an avoid, “but life goes on”.
    Good Luck,

If you have a bread machine, it’s really easy to make great spelt or
kamut pizza dough. Just pour in the ingredients and press “Dough.”

    Gaye,
    Thanks for info.
It’s been difficult for me to locate health food options. I live in the
boonies. Nearest health food store is 70 miles away & while I know it’s a
popular store, I don’t find much I can use and their fresh food is very
limited. There may be some better ones in OKC (although this is the one you
always hear about) and I just haven’t located them yet. Just found out,
though, there is a Wild Oats located in Tulsa. While this is close to a 3
hour drive for me, my ND i slocated in Jenks (basically south Tulsa) so I’m
at least over there a few times a year. Thought I’d start making a list of
staples I can look for next time I’m there. Anyone have any special
    recommendations?
Thanks, too, for the phone number on Nature’s Hilights. I’ve begun to think
it would be easier for me to just mail order stuff.

You might try finding specialty foods online. I’ve bought spelt pasta, spelt
flour, pumpkin seeds, meat, tortillos, etc. Also, there are many websites
for buying herbs and O friendly remedies including Thomases site.

    Max,
Thanks! I’ll do a search online for some of this. What are tortillos? I do
order Deflect from Thomas. Sounds like I should try to stock some type O
bars, too, since I always seems to be on the run.

    Then what are burritos?
Oh wait, are burritos made from tortillas?
But if they are, wouldn’t tortillas be female tortillos?
Would that mean tacos and burritos are siblings?
What if you put a taco in a burrito, or vice versa? What would that mean?
This is all so confusing… I think I’ll stick to my rice paper from the
cheapo asian grocers (gotta love those darling asians). It’s spring rolls
for this O, too daunting with all that hispanic stuff.

    Yeth.
But if they are, wouldn’t tortillas be female tortillos?
    Only if they’re pink.
Would that mean tacos and burritos are siblings?
Only if they have the same parents.
What if you put a taco in a burrito, or vice versa? What would that mean?
    X rated mexican food?

Thanks for the chuckle, you guys!!

  10. Odis Johns Says:

Tortilla is the diminutive form of torta, meaning tort. So, a tortilla
is literally a “small tort.” Tortillo is not a word, as there is no
    such thing as a torto.
