<description>Proper stress management is important for type O's, as one of their
prime focal points of stress lies at the catecholamine level. Since
stress can aggravate acne (probably due to enhanced adrenal activity,
and greater sebum production.) My advice right off the bat is to make
sure you are doing 30 minutes of high intensity aerobic exercise, 4-6
times a week. Also, going to sleep by 10:00PM and/or sleeping until
9:00AM helps. Following the BTD and proper food combining will go a
long way toward regulating hormone levels. Many acne sufferers have a
mixture of microbacteria and yeast on their skin, which can help trigger
inflammatory reactions leading to pimples, etc. Tea tree oil has been
studied and found effective in treating acne. Dr. D'Adamo has good
results with recommending Paul Mitchell brand Tea Tree Soaps. There is
moderate evidence that oral zinc supplements may be somewhat effective
as well. A low dose (15mg daily - found in Phytocal O) may be prudent.
For more advice and tips, see the book Adrenal Fatigue by Dr. James
 &lt;!--more--&gt;
 Wilson.
The Anti-Stress Protocol for Blood Group O from the new Encyclopedia is
another good place to start. Here it is:
Russian Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea), 250 mg: 1-2 capsules, twice daily
 L-Tyrosine, 500 mg: 1 capsule, twice daily*
Valerian (Valeriana officinalis), 0.5% essential oils, 500 mg: 1-2
 capsules, before bed
Aerobics, swimming, cycling: 25 minutes, four times weekly
 Non-Secretors Add:
Maitake extract (Grifola frondosa), 500 mg: 2-3 capsules, twice daily
 5-HTP (5-hydroxytryptophan), 150 mg: 1 capsule, twice daily
General Recommendations Usable by All Groups:
Calcium, 1000 mg (preferably from sea plants)
 Multivitamin (preferably blood group specific)
*Do not take L-Tyrosine supplement if you are on a MAO inhibitor-type
 drug.
 Hope this helps.
 Cheers,

<description>&#60;&#60; "How can males control hormonal acne if at all??
Anyone get their hormones tested and got advice on how to deal with
it??"
Well, I gotta say this. I got rid of my hormonal acne when I was young
(before saran wrap). Her name was Judy. Later, when I got a little acne at
the age of 40, I, again, sought out a cure. Her name was Carol. I don't get
acne anymore but I do get a booster now and then just to be sure.

 How old are you, nagmanater?
I'm 24, almost 25. I'm still getting some acne, I notice if I'm doing the
weights well and eating a lot to support the growth process I will get more
acne. Like teenagers and young adults get (I feel like I'm practically a
 young adult!).
I've noticed avoiding the Avoids is the best way to prevent acne, and
drinking a lot of water is good too. Don't use many of those skin care
products, you know, the ones that claim to prevent acne. My acne has
improved significantly since I stopped using products like those pads and
 pimple creams...
 &lt;!--more--&gt;
How is your libido? O.K., I guess a better question is: how are you
feeling? What kind of acne is this? If you have a problem with the male
hormones (androgens, right?) then I would suggest you medicate yourself with
plenty of marijuana, beer, and soy (esp. soy), they all contain valuable
estrogen-like substances to turn you into a squamish, wimpy,
overcommunicative, sensitive, gibbering pseudo-woman. Most of the grains
contain precious phyto-estrogen crap, too. So ditch the many O meats and
start drinking, smoking pot and eating lots of soy and grains... go high
carb and HFS bonkers! You'll be sure to reduce the amount of hormones that
occur in higher amounts in men to earn the "male hormone" moniker; you'll
get more compassionate and touchy-feely too (for a variety of reasons). You
can take up new-age, trendy spiritualities, yoga, join a women's group and
whine about your problems, become a vegetarian (sure to decrease your male
hormones, fella!) and "get in touch with your feelings" (which can be easy
to do under marijuana and liquors with the correct dosage and frequency).
It's easy to decrease your male hormones! I've done it, it's simple, fun,
 and easy!
