“I hate to say it but has anyone else looked in other people’s carts at the
grocery checkout lane? Frightening. Hershey bars, frozen dinners, pizzas,
twinkies, etc. and of course, diet soda!!.”
and:
“Have any of you eaten the food they serve in the heart wing of a hospital? My
God, it’s a wonder people survive the visit. It tastes like sugared packing
material. I had my sister sneaking in Big Macs and I was begging for ham
sandwiches during snack time (the only identifiable protein available–no
chicken surprise thank you) every night.”
Max
Yes. Tell me about it, Max! I’ve been working in two neighborhood convenience
stores, a regular 24-hour supermarket (night shift), a HFS (Outpost Natural
Foods in Milwaukee, WI) and a pharmacy over the past six years. No matter what
place, what demographic group, what time of day, most people are getting
pre-packaged, processed, devitalized foods. Crap. And much of it has poisenous
substances like the synthetic vitamins and minerals, such as the unhealthy forms
of iron (chromium conversation is an appropriate tangent), and the ubiquitous
partially hydrogenated soybean and/or cottonseed oil. That the hydrogenated crap
is now being published as obviously harmful in numerous publications and that
people still willingly shove those poisenous artificial foods down their gullets
everyday is disturbing.
You’re lucky to have a caring sister. It’s so sad we need someone to sneak in
food to us when we are in the hospital and have no access to our own food. I’ve
read rumors of hospitals tentatively allowing some fast-food chains to take up
“residency” (pun intended) in their own cafeterias, to the outrage of some
internet folk. I say, let the people have their fats, cholesterol, saturated
fats, and meats. I’ll have mine without the wheat bun and other starches,
thanks. It might be better than the alternatives.
I don’t think I could tire of reading posts like these, Max.

Yes. I’ve noticed that the frying oils cause me to feel mildly nauseous now, and
the cotton candy and other sweets do not tempt me. Even sweet smells give me
some nausea. Cinnamon smells, baking pastries, yes… but smelling most of this
garbage is starting to make me feel like I’ve eaten it: sick.
It’s a good thing we’ve got BeBetsy showing us how easy it is to make our best
source of protein transportable. I’ve made my own jerky, with slight
modifications to some recipes. No black pepper, no avoids. Not much sugar (I
don’t like my jerky sweet anyway). It’s so easy, even with a regular oven.
Pre-heat temperatures are all that are needed, if you have an oven thermometer,
not the built-in kind, a real one, it is easy to achieve the ideal drying
environment. You can make quite a bit in one batch. It reduces by 1/3 to 1/4 by
weight.
“Just wondering if anyone has done a de-tox before starting the ER4YT lifestyle
change eating? It helped me out… with going cold turkey with foods. MG247″
Well well well… if it isn’t our own material girl, Nancy. And you did the
www.curezone.com cleanse too, right? I went into a prolonged fast/cleanse with
some dried fruits, plenty of Yoga (really started to get into that) and having
been initiated into Reiki with my first attunement shortly after my 22nd
birthday. Anyone interested in Reiki who looks into the originator story knows
about the fasting thing… I went into it head-on. That’s where I lost my
previous muscularity, gradually going from the 165 muscle-bound weight trainer
who ate anything he liked, over a year of no intensive training to about 150+,
then down to 140 quickly over the fasting and cleansing, Yoga, and then
attempting to hold on with BTD but very little animal flesh.
I’d say Thomas Dekany is the authority on this matter. He has very simple advice
about cleansing and Os who are aware of the Blood-Type Diet. Little else need be
done. Sure, some cleansing liver tonics, citrus water (lemon/lime), some forms
of magnesium, etc. for specific work on the liver & gallbladder organs, herbs
and spices to support that cleansing and strengthening activity. But really,
Thomas Dekany’s advice for Os about cleansing and staying clean is the best,
healthiest way for Os.
All this vegetarian/vegan dogma about how unpure and dirty the animal flesh is,
how it stops the detox process… complete and total BULLSHIT. You may think it
isn’t so… but we’ve already covered the topic of quality of animal flesh in
this group, such as feedlot beef vs. organic, free-range beef. Especially true
with feedlot and grain-fed organic vs. grass-fed large animals. The only
remaining issue is the cooked food factor, as far is cleansing is concerned (in
my book). But then, well, I’ve already passed that barrier too… some very
interesting personal stories on the raw food frontier with the animal flesh. I
think right next to the cleansing vegans in those hoighty toighty health
recovery clinics sits I, Axel, Super-O, eating a 10 ounce serving of raw steak
tartar for my mid-morning breakfast, to help me “detox”. Yep. Very healing for
my intestines.
How can you detox and clean yourself and support and re-build your tissues if
you don’t have enough protein to make your own enzymes? To give every cell in
your body the structural materials they NEED to maintain cell membrane
integrity? Protein is what we need. We can’t make enzymes without them, can’t
make our flesh without those valuable amino acids. We can’t make hormones, our
own chemical communication system, without the protein. Our bodies require the
most protein of all the genetic sub-types of the human species. From what I’ve
learned of physiology, we are most likely designed to use a greater ratio of our
dietary protein as fuel, we are not protein-sparing humans. We can force our
bodies into going to great lengths to conserve our protein resources, if we make
them scarce (vegan/vegetarians have lugubrious experience with this), though we
can adapt (somewhat) we definently suffer for it.
Fats, fatty acids, carbohydrates, they are all composed of CHO, or: carbon,
hydrogen and oxygen. Protein is special, protein is carbon, hydrogen and
nitrogen. We can synthesize our own blood-sugar (gluconeogenesis) from fatty
acids and amino acids, we CANNOT synthesize amino acids from fatty acids or any
of the sugars. Protein is special, amino acids are special. Anyone who has
looked into the importance of enzymes in health must be able to see that, as
amino acids are necessary for enzymes, protein must play a part in maintaining
healthy levels of metabolic enzymes. To simply listen to the dogma of cleansing
and reserve yourself to losing muscle tissue and organ tissue, the inevitable
catabolism of long-term protein-deficient fasting/cleansing programs is to
believe in a dogma that no longer has a place in the world of the enlightened
blood-type dieter.
Clean grass-fed ruminants, natural-diet poultry (NOT vegetarian chicken!),
animals that get their own exercise and live happy lives and aren’t fed bad
foods, these are the kinds of cleaner foods we need to maintain our own body’s
ability to clean itself on a daily basis, to remain strong enough not to fall
into a disease state that compromises our health in the first place. Even the
animals in the antarctic continent have detectable residues of man-made toxins
in their flesh, we simply cannot escape our crimes against Life on Earth. To
follow the cleansing to the ideal of the past is not possible.
Your point on going cold turkey is a good one, Material Girl. I had an easy time
getting off the foods I MUST have been addicted to (you can’t not be addicted to
modern wheat). Total abstention is good for a complete reset. I had over ten
pounds of muscle to do that with, and some body fat. For those starting out,
perhaps it is possible to do such a drastic thing. But not for people with
little muscle mass, or those whose health is already compromised.
Wanna go on another cleanse, Nancy girl? Here’s a huge 10 ounce slab of raw, red
meat. Plop. Happy cleansing, O.
I’ve got to start a restaurant/health clinic. Hmmm. “Axel’s Health Hut”? No…
“Axel’s House of Pain for Os”? I see potential there… yes… forcing the
customers to undergo a blood-test, if their claims to O-ness are true
(determined by the requisite blood-test) than they are moved into a waiting room
before they are seated in the dining section of my “House of Pain” restaurant.
The drill-instructor type person would force them to lift lots of heavy weights
for true O anaerobic exercise, generating a healthy O appetite. Then they would
be treated to a meal full of raw animal flesh and animal fats, especially
cholesterol-rich foods with lots of saturated fats.
They would leave the restaurant/health clinic with well-used muscles, and a
belly full of raw meat and fats (and cholesterol!). They would be high on their
own endorphins (hormones released from real O exercise) and the raw meat. They
would sleep well that night, and through that night into the next morning all
that great O food they ate would be used by their happy O bodies for the
production of more hormones, like GH, sex hormones, etc. etc. Their first visit
would seem like hell, most of them will freak at being forced to lift heavy
weights and eat tons of raw meat and animal fat. But the next day will be proof
to them of the truth contained within the sweaty, bloody, screaming chambers of
“Axel’s House of Pain for Os”. Their short-term physical pain and psychological
pain (from the exercise and raw food) would fall away under the truth of the
longer-term health and positive feelings created by the “House of Pain”
experience. The obese, the sickly, the tired, the mentally disturbed, all would
learn of the truth of their O-hood. There would be Converts. They would become
Regulars. Some would volunteer for a few hours each week for drill-instructor
duty. They would beg for more bloody, raw, flesh. They would continue to come,
even after learning most of the secrets, they would continue to come, even if
just for Axel’s special blood gravy. And they would heal.
Whew! All this meat and fat just gave me all this energy, I had to keep writing!
Or maybe it was the hormonal energy from the weights I lifted after work
today…
Axel O+ secretor, dreaming about the “House of Pain”…
P.S. Making good, consistent gains on the weight training. Although I’m not on a
dedicated body building program, I have been increasing in lean mass very well.
The inclusion of raw animal flesh into my diet has helped me gain in strength
and mental health. I’m now just over 150 pounds again, and very, very lean.
