Digest alternatives- Creating Rules
Axel,
Here’s how to organise your mail using Microsft Outlook Express.
1.In your inbox, highlight (open) any email from the group.
2.Click on the “Message” button on the top toolbar of the Inbox window, and
highlight “Create rule from message”.
3.In the “New Mail Rule” window that opens, check the box ” When the Subject
line contains specific words”. Uncheck the default box “when the From line
contains people”.
4.In the second box check “Move it to the specified folder”.
5. In the third box, click on the link “Contains specific words”
In the window that opens, type in “ER4YT-O” (no quotes).Click “add” and
“OK”.
6. In the third box, click on the link “specified”. In the box that opens
up select “New Folder” and type in the name of the folder, eg “ER4YT-O
Group” . Click “OK”. Click “OK” in the “New Mail Rule” window. A message
box should pop up saying that the new rule has been applied. This will now
route all new incoming emails to this folder.
8. For all read etc (old) emails in your Inbox can be put in this folder
too. In your Inbox, click the tab “Subject”. All ER4YT-O email will show
up. Highlight all (Highlight the 1st message, and scroll to the last
message; holding down the “shift” key on your keyboard, click on the last
message. All the messages will be highlighted).
Go to “Edit”, select “Move to Folder”. Your new folder “ER4YT-O Group”
should be highlighted. If not, highlight it. Click “OK”. All your mail
should now be in this folder.
Enjoy!
I have many folders, and mainly Junk in my Inbox.

Hey Stephen, hows about you tell us other Outlook people how to do
this? As in: where to scroll down from menu bar, where to click,
command names, etc. etc. etc.
