Caroline Myss
Anne,
You mentioned Caroline Myss a while ago, and I have to tell you that I really
enjoy her work, and went on a streak of Caroline Myss reading and listening to
tapes (all borrowed from the public library, too!)
And, not only that, but recently, while in the shower (where I receive so much
of my deeper inspiration!) I thought of her Chakra work…
Well, I seemed to tap into a new understanding of its meaning… and its
progression through our lives… and how, focussing on these food groups takes
us into certain chakras, until eventually we progress to higher levels… How
chakras are another way in which our awareness is defined (for me, this was in
addition to my recent realization of how different people have different
intelligences, and how, consequently, we all see the world so differently!)…
This also has implications for working with elementary students (which I do!)
All very interesting, stuff, and I feel excited to realize that I am progressing
in my chakra levels… This means to me that certain awarenesses that have been
very open will be closing off, while others open up…
(It also might have implications for that social eating that we were talking
about earlier
Glad to hear of someone else who has been interested in the work of Caroline
Myss!
Best wishes,
Frances

Frances,
I also am a Caroline Myss fan - I have 4 of her books! Through her writings
(and others) I have overcome many fears, especially of death and have grown
spiritually.
I was planning and going to one of her retreats, until I realized that the
host facility was totally vegetarian! I do not believe that I could do any
real spiritual growth work spending six days on a vegetarian diet. Even if I
had lots of beef jerky, the other avoids (albeit organic), which would be
in almost everything else, would do me in! I pray for the day when people
who are concerned with their spiritual growth will accept without censure
the fact that many of us NEED animal flesh. There was a time, when I myself
felt that I could not meditate if I had eaten animal protein. I’ve come a
long way from that, and in the journey, have grown spiritually to boot!
