Blood Type

Thursday, January 19th, 2006

It’s funny how people don’t even know their blood type these days.
They had either given blood so long ago, and don’t remember.
Yet, my step-grand daughter does not know and Dr. will charge a “ton
of money” for her to go thru lab. She’s been hospitalized for
cancer & stomach problems, and they don’t know her BLOOD TYPE, OF
ALL THINGS.
Silly, Stupid.

Laura’s Beef at Kroger’s

Thursday, January 19th, 2006

The grocery chain Kroger’s here has started selling Laura’s Beef. This
product is advertised as antibiotic and growth hormone free. So far I am
thrilled because it is so hard to get good meat in this area. I’ve sent them
an email about whether their beef is grass feed or not but was wondering if
any of you know more info on this company.

recommend a list for A types?

Thursday, January 19th, 2006

Hi again,
I have a new online friend who is just starting out on the blood type diet
and is an A blood type. I gave her a bunch of links for great info, but
would love to recommend a list like ours for her.
Do any of you know of a great list for A blood type people?
Thank you!

Pot luck main dish ideas?

Thursday, January 19th, 2006

Hi Everyone!
Tomorrow I am attending a potluck for my eight year old son’s class. Do you
have any suggestions as to good things to make for a potluck?
In this case, I need a main dish, kid-friendly, can be eaten out of hand or
off a paper plate kind of dish. But I am sure others would appreciate any
other potluck friendly dishes you know of!
Thanks!

Acne, scaring, and different procedures. :0)

Wednesday, January 18th, 2006

For those who don’t know me from the old board on Dr. D’s site since
I haven’t posted here in a while- I am almost 20 years old (not a
teen as of the 24th of this month! =0)), been posting for over 2
years on that site, and have been ill since I was almost 15 with lyme
disease, Epstein bar, and Hashimotos. Taking care of it all naturally
and have been SLOWLY finding my way back to health!
I have deep acne scars (pits) and plan on getting rid of them for
self esteem and career reasons (acting). I have been to a skin clinic
once 2 years ago. Laser surgery seems like the ideal way because most
of my scars are very deep and you can swim in the holes! ;0/ It was
recommended to me again recently, this time by my acupuncturist
because they are so deep and he says it is “cleaner”.
My question is; has anyone had this procedure, or know of someone who
has had it done specifically for “acne scars” and not
for “wrinkles”? ;0) I also know of micro derma abrasion, but have
(more…)

AAAAAXXEEEEEEEL - heeeeeeeeeeeelllllllppppppp

Wednesday, January 18th, 2006

Hi Axelix,
thanks for your answers - wow, the stock of knowledge you have in food …
well - I’m not famous enough to eat in fancy restaurants all the time -
but that’s o.k., I wanted to have time for my son and that’s far more
important to me
nearly each time I buy meat, I buy organic, grass-fed lamb and beef, or
liver -
Tartar I don’t eat anymore, because they don’t serve it from organic and
therefore I’m afraid of CJD
thanks for comforting my conscience - I think on some points you’re
right - thanks
well - let’s try to find better and better ways with ER
love

Soy Oil vs. Soybean Oil in Mayo

Wednesday, January 18th, 2006

I think Dr. D. is saying it’s the same,
but why is it an avoid when soybean is neutral for secretor?
Anyway, I found Trader Joe’s has their brand of mayo
which looks good except for the soybean oil (#1 ingredient).
It has apple cider vinegar instead of distilled.
Should I buy this mayo, or still try to come up with recipe
for easy, home-made. I don’t use that much of it but would love to
eat sometimes.

Thanks for the heads-up on the new site. Very nicely laid out and

Quinoa comes in many forms - all pasta shapes are available and VERY good.
Also like the little quinoa beads that cook up with little “tails” on them.
Makes a nice cereal for a change of pace. It also thickens the beef or lamb
stew nicely and adds interest to it. Rachel
