<description>Dr. Weil will never come out and support the BTD. He has too much to
lose. He has, however, begun to moderate some of his one-size-fits-all
diet by admitting that some of us are what he calls "carbohydrate
intolerant." I don't know much about homeopathic "medicine." It has
always seemed like a load of bunkum to me. There is no possible
physical explanation for its effect. As far as allopathic
intractability, I think that ignorance of most things, including the
law, is no excuse.
Cheers,

Weil, for example, keeps many ND's on his staff and consults with them
frequently for answers when he is uncertain.
A couple of years back Dr. Weil really blasted the BTD. Has he changed his
mind? I have one of his books and he is very sensitive to homeopathic
medicine but I believe he's the exception. I believe that most alliopathic
doctors only know what they've been taught and won't speculate much beyond
that. I think that fear of litigation probably keeps most of them safely
inside their knowledge comfort zone.

<description>Ryan, I would love names of anyone you know in the Denver area who works with
the Eat Right Program and any other kind of medicine. Just spent over three
weeks feeling lousy while I let my body fight off an allergy/cold/virus
something because I didn't want to mess with the program. My
allopathic/homeopathic Doctor retired three years ago and I have been unable
to find anyone else to work with.
