More Berkeley Wheat-Free Options
I got these from my friend who lives in Berkeley:
*Wild Oats (grocery store on University Avenue between California and
Sacramento Streets) always has wheat-free baked goods (but not freshly
baked on site as far as I know). wild oats was recently bought out by
Picadilly Circus, so they are in the process of changing their name and
other minor things, hopefully they won’t get rid of their wheat free
stuff
*if she’s in town on Saturday– the Saturday Farmer’s Market always has
a baked good vendor that has wheat-free goodies and another vendor sells
wheat-free Masala Dosas that are great for lunch (Saturday 9a.m.-3p.m.
on Center Street in Downtown Berkeley between Milvia and MLK Jr Way).
*Nabolom Bakery on College Avenue in south Berkeley might have
wheat-free stuff. Their phone number if she wants to check is:
845-BAKE. they are my favorite bakery in town.
*that’s about all I can think of. there should be an online guide with
tips for wheat-free travelers, huh?

Thanks Ryan for the info. I was home by the time I got it, but
Andra’s father and grandfather are taking her back next week.
I’ll give her the info to check out - we’ll need it the next time
I go visit. She is not yet convinced to try the ER way of
eating, except she does know she needs beef.
Thanks again, Kate
