Typhoid Vaccine

Tuesday, December 13th, 2005

Hello all,
My grandmother has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I’m
trying to locate the typhoid vaccine manufactured by Wyeth-Ayerst
mentioned by Dr. D’Adamo, but it appears that it has been discontinued.
Has anyone had any luck locating a back stock of it?
Cheers,
Ryan

Hilda - exercise

Tuesday, December 13th, 2005

Hi Hilda,
Congratulations on starting an exercise program! It really is vital to good
health and well-being. In answer to your question: Exercise twice a week is
not enough! You will spend two hours working hard, and seeing little benefit!
Better to exercise 1/2 hour 4x. As you are new to exercise, 1/2 hour is
sensible, so you don’t overdo it. You need to start carefully, not to hurt
yourself. You can get quite a lot of benefit from your short sessions. When I
started ER about 3 years ago, I hadn’t exercised in several years. I started
with 3-5 walks per week, each walk about 1/2 hour. The results came very
quickly, as far as muscle tone, energy, ability to walk faster and faster. Now
I go out 5-6 times per week for 1-2 hours, longer on the weekend, and walk, run,
hike, rollerblade, bike, kayak, etc. It is really amazing how quickly your
short sessions can benefit you, and how much fun you can have doing this, once
you feel strong and capable. What exercise are you doing? How are you getting
started?

Thyroid help and L-Tyrosine

Monday, December 12th, 2005

Steve,
How did you take L-Tyrosine and when? I had read to take it on an empty
stomach before bed. I also read that it can energize you and that doesn’t
sound like the kind of thing I am trying for before bed (LOL). Any help on
dosage, what times, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I.E. if you did take
it before bed, did you notice any change in your sleep patterns? Thanks!
Lynn (in Idaho)
P.S. Info for the Rhodiola would be great too. I am not familiar with it at
all.
<L-Tyrosine was one of the supplements that got me back onto the road of
recovery from 18 months of a fatigue prolem (which was made worse by
stress). The other supplement that helped mainly from the stress point was
Rhodiola. Both these are available in Dr D’s Catechol but I found them to
work better when taken separately. Just my experience.

I have a question for Yvonne

Monday, December 12th, 2005

Hi Yvonne,
I have a question for you–I was in Switzerland a few weeks ago and bought
some agile vert [hope that is how you spell it] I think it means green clay.
I’ve been taking a tsp every morning to supplement minerals missing from
filtered water I am drinking. Have you heard of this?
thanks for you help.

diminishing body hair–adrenal stress??

Monday, December 12th, 2005

Hi
Thanks ever so much for herbalife info–I’ll tell my son to save his money!!
Just another thing– I’ve noticed that one of my eyebrows is looking quite
scraggly and on investigation it has bald patches. Over the years all the
years the hair on my arms and various other places[!] has reduced
dramatically, even the hair on my head has thinned quite a bit. My arms are
now hairless and legs have just a few scraggly hairs as well.
Is this some sort of hormone/vitamin defiency or part of the menopause? I
know it seems a small thing but other eyebrow is completely unaffected. Is
it another symptom of adrenal stress? Any ideas?
Thanks
Kae

Multiple Sclerosis

Sunday, December 11th, 2005

Hi All,
Are there any other people with Multiple Sclerosis in this group? I’ve had
this challenge for 15+ years, and ER4YT has done wonders for me, even though
I’m still on disability. I’d love to hear other success stories.

Omega 3 oil

Saturday, December 10th, 2005

Dr. Sears (The Zone diet guy) just published a book specifically on fish oil. He
talks at length in this book of the importance of low content of AA and
Pharmaceutical grade fish oil.
