Fish Oil Dose Question

Sunday, December 25th, 2005

Hi,
I got some Kirkland fish oil capsules, and I began taking it.
I weigh 150, and was planning to take 15 caps a day [5 at each of 3
meals].
If I eat fish every day and get Omega 3 from grass fed beefalo and
DHA Gold eggs, would I still need to take 15 caps of fish oil daily,
or could I take less?
I’ve got symptoms of Omega 3 deficiency [eczema, depression,
anxiety, etc].
I also take 1 tbs. of flaxseed oil daily. I was taking 2 tbs. of it
but reduced it now that I’m taking fish oil capsules.
I also take 2 tbs. of fresh ground flaxseed daily.
Thanks for any input.

Hi Yvonne,
I just looked on the packet and it has on one side Argile verte ventilee
[and on the other side] Gruner Lehm extra-fein….I guess this is French on
one side and Dutch on the other?
Under that it says Selection des Laboratoires KART
Case postale 5, Le Mont/Lausanne
Thanks so much for all the time you’ve taken over this Yvonne, you are a

WHO to Promote Alternative Medicine

WHO to Promote Alternative Medicine
Thu May 16, 3:35 PM ET
By EMMA ROSS, AP Medical Writer
GENEVA (AP) - In response to a rapid increase in the use of alternative
medicine over the last decade, the World Health Organization has created
the first global strategy for traditional medicine.
The U.N. health agency aims to bring traditional, or alternative,
therapies out of the shadows by intensifying research into their
effectiveness and safety, by promoting their proper use and regulation
and by helping countries integrate them into their health care services.
The strategy, launched Thursday at the annual meeting of the WHO’s
governing body, is also designed to ensure traditional remedies aren’t
hijacked and patented by big business and that medicinal plants are not

colored garlic?

Saturday, December 24th, 2005

Hi :-) I pressed some fresh garlic tonight, put it in an enameled pan with some
org. butter and org. lemon juice and gently warmed it. When I poured it
over the broiled salmon I noticed that the garlic had turned bluish green!
So weird! It tasted fine though :-) The garlic was normal looking when it
went into the pan.
Anybody have ANY idea what happened? I have done this same thing plenty of
times and never had the garlic change colors. We did eat it - hope that is
o.k.!
Thanks,
Lynda

Grindstone Bakery

What a find! If you go to the Organic Farmer’s Market in Austin, TX,
on Saturday mornings, you can get similar stuff, but much less
choice. This vendor, can’t remember the name, uses no wheat or [cow]
dairy in their products. I had a slice of spelt pizza with tomatoes,
spinach, olive oil, calamata olives and goat feta. It was excellent!
It had been ages since I had a slice. They have all sorts of cookies
and other non-wheat goods, too. I’ll have to get their name next
time. They only go to weekend events, like the LBJ Wildflower Center,
this farmer’s market, etc.

Virus Warning!

Saturday, December 24th, 2005

Good for everyone that this is NOT a virus, only a hoax. There is a
legitimate file with the teddy bear icon. If you go to McAfee or
Norton’s web page, you can find out all about it. Don’t delete the
file; it’s a system file on your computer and deleting it would cause
a problem.

P.S. Feel free to send me any virus or hoax questions. I look many
things up and have a lot of resources.

likely, passed on to some of you through my recent mail. This is
what I have been told about the virus:
McAfee. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the
system. It’s sent automatically by messenger and by the Address
Book, whether or not you sent e-mails to your contacts.

beef observations, questions

Saturday, December 24th, 2005

Hi All,
I started eating beef again last November after having avoided it for about
24 years. At first I ate the higher quality supermarket beef (and had no
problems at all digesting it) until I found a local source for better meat.
I have been eating grass fed organic beefalo (no hormones or antibiotics
used either) for a while now, about five months or so, when I cook at home.
For the last month or two I have noticed that if I eat beef out somewhere,
or deli roast beef, I get the runs.
I am wondering if this could be from the hormones or antibiotics that are
probably used, or if it could maybe be because this other beef is raised
eating corn/grains? Clearly my body doesn’t like it, which is enough to act
on, but I am wondering why.
Also, when I first started eating beef again I CRAVED it! I wanted it every
day, often twice a day. This went on for months. I have noticed that the
last couple of months or so this has tapered off. I now have to remind

Hilda Vosloo exercise

Friday, December 23rd, 2005

Hilda, what a bummer to have a run-in with a car on your first exercise day!
It’s true, drivers don’t pay attention to cyclists, we have to be alert and
defensive. Glad to hear you are not hurt, and I hope it won’t dampen your
enthusiasm.
How are the jelly legs today?

Trojan Dominator

Wow, you guys had me in stitches here! LOL
It’s a home gym for weight training. It works on the concept like the circuit
they have in a real gym. One apparatus works your back, one works your arms
etc…. this one does it all in one. You can do your pecs, calves, thighs,
arms, stomach etc, but it is with weights.
I have always preferred weight training above aerobics for instance. So I
invested in this.
cheers
