beef observations, questions

Hi All,
I started eating beef again last November after having avoided it for about
24 years. At first I ate the higher quality supermarket beef (and had no
problems at all digesting it) until I found a local source for better meat.
I have been eating grass fed organic beefalo (no hormones or antibiotics
used either) for a while now, about five months or so, when I cook at home.
For the last month or two I have noticed that if I eat beef out somewhere,
or deli roast beef, I get the runs.
I am wondering if this could be from the hormones or antibiotics that are
probably used, or if it could maybe be because this other beef is raised
eating corn/grains? Clearly my body doesn’t like it, which is enough to act
on, but I am wondering why.
Also, when I first started eating beef again I CRAVED it! I wanted it every
day, often twice a day. This went on for months. I have noticed that the
last couple of months or so this has tapered off. I now have to remind

myself to eat it at least a few times a week, working on increasing that
again. I am wondering if my body reached a level where things had been
replenished?
I am interested in opinions and am wondering if anyone else has experienced
the above :-) Thanks,
Lynda

    Hi,
I found out that beefalo has about 6 grams of fat per 100 gram
portion vs. 17 grams of fat for an equal amount of beef.
Does anyone know which would be better for improving Omega 3 levels?
I’m referring to grass fed organic beefalo. I found a local beefalo
    farmer and bought some.
    Thanks for any input.
