Note to My Friends (Again)

Friday, November 18th, 2005

I’m confused. If I put red food coloring in my oat meal, is it “genetically
engineered” to look red?
I guess I don’t get it but isn’t there a difference between “genetically
engineered” and “genetically altered”? Domesticated animals and plants have
been selected and bred because of some enhancement for centuries. Beef,
chickens, corn, potatoes, cheese, grapes, peas, etc have all been genetically
engineered to produce the bigger, juicier, prettier, tastier, etc products.
We used to call it animal husbandry but now say “genetically engineered” just
like a garbage man is a sanitation engineer. Everybodies an engineer these
days.
If it’s beef and the package says beef or lettuce and the package says
lettuce that’s OK with me. To me, when you make a soy burger or chicken
finger out of dead genetic goo, the product label should say so. A chicken
finger that’s really some kind of soy glop should be advertised with the glop
group and not the chicken group.

has anyone heard of or tried or use this type of enzyme tablet by
Naturally. They tout better because the coating the tablet does not
disolve until it hit the intestine where it does the most good.
thanks.

Hi!
Thanks Ryan… I am on a prenatal vitamin, though not pregnant yet-
so I am not sure how that will affect it. I have not really limited
my servings yet. But I do stop eating before I get too full. I am
pretty proud of myself, I have lasted since Sunday without any white
flour, corn or white potatoes.
When I look at the book, and it shows a meal for an O on a diet to
lose weight, it shows barely any food at all. Breakfast-one slice
ezekiel bread Lunch-4 oz of roast beef Snack- fruit celery carrots
and a rice cake (almost like a feast!) and for dinner- steamed
artichoke-shucks where is the butter?Jk! So that is one reason I
have one foot on the Atkins side still, at least I can eat protein
and not feel hungry. Though I have not fried any bacon or
gone “whole hog”, I plan to try and avoid the pork.
I do like pineapple juice and setltzer water with dinner. I don’t

New Chapter distributes all of their product line (including their Dr.
D’Adamo’s “For Your Type” line) to both Whole Foods and Wild Oats. So,
if it’s cheaper for you to buy through the big chains, then I guess
you’ll have to do that. It really surprises me that Whole Foods could
be cheaper for you. At mine, they charge almost $40 for the small
bottle (half a month’s supply). Thomas charges $46.95 for a months’
supply. Since you are premenopausal, Every Woman from New Chapter would
be an O.K. multi-vitamin. It has an avoid or two though. Don’t forget
that you will also need a multi-mineral. Phytocal O is the best. Some
people like collodials. Buried Treasure is a popular brand. TJ Clark
looks O.K.
Cheers,
Ryan

Where’s Axel? Here’s a story about a guy in Oregon who treats his milk cows
like we used to:
Farmer Pampers Cows With Water Beds
By JOSEPH B. FRAZIER
.c The Associated Press
MOUNT ANGEL, Ore. - They say happy cows are more productive cows. Arie
Jongeneel is hoping his herd of Holsteins, resplendent on their water beds,
will bring forth a dairy deluge.
In his quest to bump up production, Jongeneel, a dairy farmer for 32 years,
is joining farmers in Europe and elsewhere who say such bovine pampering pays
off.
Jongeneel, who began experimenting with 15 specially made water beds in
January, said he is ordering 80 more for his 1,600 cows in Oregon’s lush
Willamette Valley.
“If it’s better for the cows it will increase milk production, there’s no

Hi!

Wednesday, November 16th, 2005

I bought the book in 97′ and lost about 40lbs after eating closely to
the book. (6 months) I ate a lot of lettuce, sweet potatoes,
mozzerella and roastbeef. I also ate turnip- made them like
frenchfries/chips, sliced and baked. I was also seeing a naturopath
at the time so he had me off certian foods as well. I was not a
happy camper.
Then I met my husband who is a fabulous cook. I now have all that
weight to lose again. I sort of wanted to do Atkins, but don’t like
not having any fruit at all. But basically I know white flour is
what keeps the wieght on for me.
So here I am!

I love hot food, and I hear that hot sauce raises your metabolism, that’s why we
sweat. ENJOY!!!!
Grilled Steak - vanna1970
I stab a raw steak with a fork until it is covered with holes on both sides.
Then I marinade in olive oil, soy sauce, chili powder, onion powder, minced
onion, paprika, and thyme. I let it sit in the fridge in a sealed container
overnight.

I like Dr D’s analogy of using the right fuel for the
right machine as an explanation for the BTD–milk and
bread simply gum up the works for O types.
In the previous message BTD was mentioned.

Thanks Hazel

about Ezekiel bread.
