Rebounders and the HB Challenge

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

I know this is old news, but I was wondering if anyone could give me
a snipit of details on the “HB Challenge” (I’m up for a challenge) AND
it looks like I may have a rebounder available to me if I want it–do
you who do it use the videos the company makes? What’s the best way
to use this thing?
p.s. Thank you so much for advice concerning ulcers–it was for an O-
friend who is as stubborn as their gut is acidic. Even though they
were ready for advice in the beginning, when they realized they’d
actually have to pursue change in order to cure themselves they
backed off. (Fine, drink your coffee, you idiot!) (sorry, a little
bitter)

Melaleuca

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

Hi all! Just wondering if any of you have heard of the company Melaleuca? If
so, I’d like to know any thoughts or experiences with these products?
Also, just to share what I heard yesterday (it was so awful especially since I
work at a Children’s Aid). A couple of a newborn child were charged (I think
they live in the US) for the neglect of their baby as they were forcing their
baby into a vegetarian lifestyle. They were only feeding the child vegetable
broths, homemade juices, flax, herbal teas and foods alike. That poor child!
No protein! Can you believe the ignorance. I think they said that the child
only weighed about 10lbs after a few months. I could be wrong on some of the
details as I only heard it on the radio but thought I would share this with the
group.
Anyways, we know how important proper eating is and I just hope the rest of the
world can be educated one day too : )

Walnuts, Blueberries, Bananas & Papayas

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

Here is a quote in the Eat Right 4 Your Type Complete Blood Type
Encyclopedia (p. 348 under Group O Specific Lectins):
“Blood Group O should also avoid catfish, caviar, **walnuts**,
eggplants, white potatoes, alfalfa sprouts, and blackberries.
Rh-positive group O individuals should avoid **blueberries, bananas and
papayas**.”
I always thought all of those were neutral or beneficial in the case of
walnuts. I am O+ (which means Rh-positive). Anyone know why the change
in categorization?

O diet/lifestyle perspective

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

I thought some of you ER4YT & LR4YT experts could give some perspective.
Post after post on this and other boards there are good ideas, good
snippets, good pieces of advice, but so often it’s hard to put all the
parts together where they make one efficient useful vehicle. So here’s
the challenge.
Proportionately, what are the biggest cogs in the diet & lifestyle of a
Type O. Personally I get really paralyzed by so many little details and
I tend to forget that if I put the biggest cogs in place, then there is
a lot more room for flexibility than if I try to count my protein grams
down to the gram etc. The prize goes to whoever can fit what they see
as the most important parts into the easiest to read most concrete form.
The winners are any of you who like me sometimes focus on the details of
the diet while ignoring a gigantitic body chemistry kingpin like
exercise.
OK, ready, set, go.

just a thought about dehydration

Monday, November 28th, 2005

Just a thought–you mentioned you are drinking enough water when you
exercise, but are you taking enough salt of the right kind? Dr “Batman” says
if you wake up in the night you should have a glass of water with a pinch of
salt on your tongue as drinking a lot of water [sweating from exercise?]
will deplete minerals as well as fluid so need to replace both…plain sea
salt is like refined sugar or white flour, pretty useless–you need
Unrefined Celtic Sea Salt which is sort of grey–read about it on the
CureZone. Dont know how much you should be taking but will probably tell you
on the watercure site. I also take Azomite which is mineral rich
clay–heaping tsp once a day to replace minerals taken out of the filtered
water I drink.
Hope this helps, don’t think Axel mentioned this but might have lost it in
the verbage, so hope I’m not repeating stuff needlessly.

HELP!!
Where is Yvonne [the lady from Switzerland]? Anyone have her email address??
Thomas, can you help? I am off to Europe on Friday and she invited me to
join her for lunch at an ER4YT restaurant and I can’t find her!

dark circles/sports drinks

Monday, November 28th, 2005

Thank you to Thomas, Ryan, Max and our long-lost prodigal friend, AXEL!, for
insight and explanations in answer to my two questions.
Does Dr. D.’s new Encyclopedia have a protocol for liver/kidney congestion? I’m
sure current hayfever season is making the dark circles worse, but like Axel,
I’ve always had them. It was great when I was young (so long ago) and heroin
chic was in. Now I’m middle aged, and this look is not working for me! Thanks
for all the info.
Axel, go ahead, write a book, tell us where you’ve been. Should we check with
the list-keepers first, and boot off anyone who might be under 21?

Ok experts: EXPLAIN THIS

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

I have dark circles under my eyes, and have had them since my early twenties.
It is hereditary. Stress or tiredness make it worse, but even under great
conditions, it’s always there.
Last week, I had a deep tissue massage. Never had one before. It hurt like
hell! But, I felt incredible for days afterward, could feel almost an
electric charge running through my body. And my dark circles went away
almost completely for about three days!
Does anybody have any idea why that would happen from a MASSAGE?????

Need Help: Sports Drinks

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

Amy and I have spoken off-list, and we need advice on this topic. She and I
both do some long-haul type workouts (biking, running, hiking), and water
just isn’t enough. I believe the issue is that not only are we dehydrated,
but all the sweating makes us lose electrolytes and trace minerals like
potassium. This can lead not only to inhibited performance, but to more
serious conditions such as heat stroke. However, on a long, heavy workout,
the stomach really can’t handle it if we stop to actually eat. That is out
of the question.
The sports drinks we have looked at contain major avoids. Any suggestions?
What is Gu? Can we have that?
