Any compliant nut butter will thicken gravy nicely and also give a very pleasant
taste.

discovered that nut butter (any) makes for an excellent gravy
thickener
Hi Hilda, This sounds like an interesting ingredient that does two
jobs at once. I've switched to spelt flour for most baking jobs but
haven't tried it for thickening, yet. But I like your nut butter
idea. Just today, I found some almond nut butter in my supermarket
and it tastes pretty good. I'm all set to try your recipe.

Rice flour also makes a great thickener, just mix with water like normal
flour and tip into gravy.
Regards
Peter Stidolph.
