Spelt Tortilla
Wishful thinking?? Anyone know of a source where I can get tortillas that would
be neutral for O secretor?
Mucho gracias,
Bob

Food for Life makes a sprouted grains tortilla, looks like a flour tortilla.
I just got some at Wild Oats just this week.

I make my own tortillas from spelt. If you want the recipe, I’ll send it with
love!

I’ve seen spelt tortillas at Sun Harvest in Austin. I think they’re
made by a local company (maybe El Galindo?). I’ll check out the brand
tomorrow and post.

Don’t you soak the spelt to start the sprouting
process (like is done for Manna & Ezekiel Breads) first?
If not, try it, it should work better for Type ‘O’.
Oh yes, I add some hydrogen peroxide in the sprouting
water and change it once or twice daily–it keeps the
wrong things from growing!

Kate:
That’s because they are sprouted, right?
There’s no flour in them, right?
I haven’t seen them yet, so that’s why I’m asking.

Hi,
I found a spelt tortilla, locally, that has no wheat. It’s made by
Rudi’s Bakery. As far as I know, Rudi’s started here in Colorado
(Boulder). The only flour in this tortilla is organically sprouted
spelt flour. They’re available at my health food store in the freezer.
