glucosamine for knees/lump on a couch

Friday, September 30th, 2005

Hi Amy,
About two weeks ago, someone posted a Knee Pain Protocol that they had copied
from the Encyclopedia. Glucosamine was the first ingredient listed, and the
instructions for the protocol were that if you cannot obtain all of the
ingredients, you should take the first one listed, as that will be the most
important. I remember that the last ingredient was Turmeric in capsule form,
and I think there was only one other ingredient.
I did copy the list and save it, as I have chronic knee pain. Had to give up
running a long time ago, but it still gets to me when I do a lot of hiking,
especially on steep downhills. I just started the 4 major O supplements
(Deflect, Immune Calm, Stomach Ease & Probiotic), and did not want to blast my
body with too much new stuff at once, so I haven’t purchased the protocol
ingredients yet, therefore have no idea of efficacy.
I am not at home right now, but I’ll find my list, and e-mail it to you
privately when I’m there.

I think that’s a feature on this group, to “hide” e-mail addresses.
They might have to reply to you directly, off-list to get the full
address.

Axel’s Lamb

Wednesday, September 28th, 2005

<< anyone wanna hear how I cooked my “Leg of Lamb of God Roast”?
Yes, please! I Bought a package of two small boneless legs of lamb. I made
one in the crockpot in a Turkish stew. Smelled divine, tasted so so. I’m
going to try the recipe again with beef which it suggested as an alternative.
Need to know what to do with the other lamb though.

,
I take N.A.G. which is a form of glousamine which is better for o’s it’s the
same as Deflect–[I think!] also I take unflavoured gelatine powder–that
made an amazing difference to my weak back [DDD] and crunchy knees….also 8
x 8 oz glasses of water a day–you might also be interested in Dr.
Batmanghelidj’s book “Your Body’s Many Cries for Water” www.watercure.com
keep away from acidic food [coffee dehydrates as well as being horribly
acid, I can practically feel vinegary foods eating away at my joints!] and
deadly nightshades like potatoes–just one great gob of mashed potato and I
can hardly get up the stairs–citrus fruit makes me seize up almost
immediately.

Spelt tortillas

I was sorting through my recipes tonight and found this one for spelt
tortillas. I haven’t made them, but they do sound easy. Would love to hear
how they are if someone makes them.

Tortillas for O - flat bread for making wraps, quesadillas, etc..
Submitted by Alegre Ramos (ramos@…).
Ingredients For two wrap size flat breads
1 cup spelt flour
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
dab of olive oil.
Directions Okay…so I missed wrapping things…it is such an easy way to
eat because I’m just not a sandwich person even though it
has been easy enough to find other forms of breads O types are allowed I
could never find a non-wheat or non-corn flat

Amy, make ghee out of it, that way it won’t be wasted. Ghee makes it taste more
nutty, IMO, and it’s beneficial.

Vinegar & Coffee

Sunday, September 25th, 2005

With trepidation (of being shot down by those who know and understand
more of the theory of BTD :-) I understand that coffee increases stomach
acid something that type O’s are already high of, I expect there are
more chemical/scientific reasons but hey I like to keep things simple
lifcan be complicated enough as it is :-) I am unsure about vinegar so I will refrain from making a complete fool
of myself! :-) Hope that is of some help.
