Off Topic discussions and posts
I don’t object to slightly (spiritual health is apart of our overal
health) off topic posts as they add new thoughts ideas for people. BUT
I would suggest that if they become a topic of ‘conversation’ that the
dialogue take place off list, either in private emails, in another group
or mailing list
Could I also suggest that if anyone wants to post off topic material
from web sites tat they post just the link and maybe a short paragraph
about it. Many people are put off by too much off-topic posts and
unsubscribe or we end up with bad feeling posts, not the best thing if
we want a harmonious group.
So an off topic is fine but an off topic conversation is too much best
if we take it elsewhere. Posting of off-topic material is best doen
using a url link in the post not reproduced here on this list in full .
Many thanks for everyones co-operation.

That is fine but not everyone gets to read what they are about to
download before they pay for the time to download there email. Thus it
is better for those people that pay for ISP time and joined mainly for
the purposes of the ER4YT diet not to receive too many off topic
subjects. I am not saying there shoud be no off topic posts. But what
I am suggesting is that if an off topic subject becomes a subject of
discussion then it would be best to consider the feeling of all list
members and move the discussion off list.

Hi Dawn,
I don’t push the moderator part, there are at least two other moderators
but I am the only one that actively posts, to me the group should run
its self with little moderator intervention/intereference hence I
rarely sign my posts as moderator.

in Switzerland we don’t pay the access, the provider anymore - just the
telefoneminutes and it’s quite cheap …

It varies from country to country I know there are some areas of the
world where they have to pay for the amount they download ie so many
cents/Mb so for them downloading stuff they don’t want SPAM, off topic
mail is costly.
Here in the UK there are varies options depending on your finances and
needs from paying an Intenet Service Provider (ISP) AND the telelphone
company - to paying an ISP for free access either part of the day or all
day.

I pay a local ISP (Texas.Net) about $17/mo for unlimited access and
500M of space on their server for a web page. There are several ISP
that run about $10/mo, then the cable or DSL access for about $40/mo
unlimited… and fast.
