stop dissing dogs

Ok, I have had it up to here with the “Cats Rule, Dogs Drool” crowd! I have to
stand up for Man’s Best Friend. How about “Dogs Please, Cats Have Fleas”? Or,
“Dogs Protect, Cats Neglect”? Hmmm, maybe “Canine Power, Felines Cower”? I can
keep this up all day, you dog-haters, you! How about “Dogs Kiss, Cats Hiss”, or
” Dogs Learn Tricks, Cats Are Too Smart For That”… OOPS, Never mind, I don’t
like where that one is going. Anyway, I mean it, no more doggy dissing on this
list! GRRRRRR!

Amy, I don’t measure calories or portions, but I did lose 25 pounds and keep it
off for 3 years now. Here are some tips:
First of all, you will indeed lose weight on any diet at 1000 calories per day.
I don’t call this a diet, I call it an eating plan. It is designed for optimal
overall health, body weight being just one aspect of that. On most restrictive
diets, you will be hungry and miserable all the time, and you will be
malnourished as well. When following the Blood Type diet, you will find that
you can eat smaller portions, and NOT be hungry. You will feel satisfied,
because the protein and fats don’t break down so quickly in your system, and
don’t cause an energy rush and subsequent crash and craving. Your body will get
the right balance of nutrients, so you will also feel good and be vigorous and
healthy.
Did you say at one time you are training for a marathon, or at least running
regularly? Perhaps Thomas can offer advice on adjusting caloric intake based on
activity level. I maintain my weight between 126-129 lbs., I think I probably

OK, confession time.
Had my yearly big birthday bash yesterday with friends and family attending.
Made a big whipped-cream-cheese cake, fruitflan and marble cake. You can’t just
eat one!
The redeeming factor : all were made with speltflour. LOL
Not feeling too chipper today. Did take some Deflect beforehand though.
Oh well, just once a year can’t hurt, right ?

Well, Amy, you’re not so different at all. I have been on this diet for over 3
years and have yet to drop those unwanted pounds. But then, I don’t keep track
of my portions too well either. Feeling better than ever though….

Wow, that’s still pretty low. Even if I just wanted to maintain my 145
pounds that’s only 1740 calories per day which still seems somewhat low. To
maintain the 135 I should be that’s only 1620 per day!

So what’s to forgive ;) I am a passionate person myself ! I completely
understand ….maybe we are alike due to both being O’s. I haven’t read the
personality traits. I find myself getting very protective too.
