Blue People (Jacqueline’s Post)

Tuesday, June 21st, 2005

JK
What does “ward” mean ? I have never heard this term before.
About blue people there was a blue woman in a nearby town. She was real blue -
but it was caused by a reaction to medication. She had it her whole life. It was
quite a shock to see her.

Anxiety?

Monday, June 20th, 2005

Has anyone had problems with anxiety ? I have had an anxiety disorder for many
years. My Dr of psychiatry is wonderful(he is probably 1 in a million)he told me
my brain “sparks” faster than other people. He is open to natural methods of
treatment such as B12 shots which help me very much. Due to all of my allergies
I have problems taking anti-depressants and other drugs.
My sons -both O negative also have it. My daughter who is A positive doesn’t
have a problem. Other cousins also have it- they are either O or AB negative.

How to Make your Own SOY products…………

Monday, June 20th, 2005

Soy bean magic !! This is taken from a cookbook called
Oats,Peas,Beans,&Barley written by Edith Young Cottrell published in
1979.
Soybean Concentrate
Replaces Milk and Eggs in many recipes
Concentrate made from the entire soybean is used in place of milk and
eggs in making many interesting dishes. It may be in the form of milk
or whipped topping to used in making foods with a texture that would
mask its slight graininess.
Suggestions for use are in making muffins, cookies, pies, sauces, soy
cheese, and other foods in an intersting assortment.
Equipment and procedure: Some of the equipment needed and the methods
are the same for the first part of both the concentrate and the
whipped topping.

dehydrator sheets

Saturday, June 18th, 2005

Funny that I should read the post on dehydrator sheets, just as I am sitting
here with my new dehydrator sheets, newly placed in my dehydrator with a pouring
of soaked oats blended with maple syrup, slowly dehydrating!
They are teflex sheets, and up here in Canada, we can source them from
Hallelujah (sp.?) Acres, who also sell the incomporable Excaliber dehydrators.
They should be easily located through a web search as I recall seeing them once.
Assuming you are in the States? then it should not be a problem for you.
Let me know how it goes!

Pineapple juice marinade and body temp

Saturday, June 18th, 2005

I marinated some short ribs in tamari and pineapple juice last night
(short marinade, ~1 h), then cooked them in the marinade. They were
yummy with a nice glaze. I surmise that the betain (?) in the
pineapple juice must break down the meat tissue nicely. Give it a try!
On the body temp issue, when I donate blood, my temp is usually
within one degree of “normal”, usually on the low side. However, I
usually feel warm. Too much heat in the winter kills me, though I
don’t like being real cold, either. I sweat easily, even in cold
weather. Though it rarely gets below the teen here, and that’s pretty
rare itself. I sweat so much in the summer when I go outside (90s-
100). My heritage is mostly British Isles (Welsh, Irish, Scottish,
English). Most of the family, except my dad, runs on the warm side. I
like to sleep with the window cracked in the winter, with my down
comforter! Green tea makes me sweat, as do most hot drinks. Weird. I
looked and I can actually see a few blue veins in the neck/chest

Working WITH those low body temps, etc.

Saturday, June 18th, 2005

I’m not neg. but I’m cold all the time.. my friend use to tell me I was singeing
her leg hairs when I cranked up the heat in
the car (trying to offset her rolling down the window) LOL.
Those issue can be symptoms of a low thyroid.

Hi Everyone,
I know this has been discussed before, but can someone just remind me. Can 2
A parents have an O child?
I was having this discussion last week with someone and I said they could but
then I wasn’t sure if I was right or not.
