Blood Type and Children

Hi Everyone,
I know this has been discussed before, but can someone just remind me. Can 2
A parents have an O child?
I was having this discussion last week with someone and I said they could but
then I wasn’t sure if I was right or not.

I am reading JFK’s bloodline his dad was O his mom B. He was AB and his brother
Robert was A it says many families have differing blood types.
I have heard different characteristics skip generations so I really don’t know
if 2 A parents could , but it looks like it’s possible.

Two A’s can have an O .. it goes like this
each parents pass a type from one of their two…
Dad AO Mom AO (if you are AO you get typed A)
they can have AA, AO, OA, OO (the OA, AA, AO would be A)
It is not possible (as I understand it) for an O and a B to have an AB.
SO maybe Mrs. JFK needs to have some eksplaining to do…
Dad OO (only way to have O)
Mom BB - kids could be OB, OB, BO, BO - typed B
    or
Mom BO - kids could be BO, BO, OO, OB ..

Thanks alot for the answer. It means I won the argument last week, even
though I did back down because the other person said you couldn’t and I
wasn’t sure enough to argue further.
