slivered almonds, and it was great.

Flax seeds and Water?

Saturday, February 26th, 2005

Hi
I have just started (this morning) taking Flax/Linseeds to help with
Digestion after it was mentioned on the list that Psyllium Husks are
an avoid. How must I take them and how much? Do I take them whole or
must I grind them first. The box says I can eat them whole. Any
suggestions?
I drink about 4 liters or 128 ounces of water every day. Is this too
much?
Thanks
Bernie

/Bladderwack/Tea

Saturday, February 26th, 2005

Hi Karen,
In the ER book Dr. D advised us to be careful that the Bladderwack we get is
Fucus Vesiculosus, as more than one kelp can be called bladderwack. Just
wanted to remind you.
Sarah
I THINK kelp, bladderwrack & fucus are the same

LR changes/Bladderwack/Tea

Friday, February 25th, 2005

I take bladderwrack supplement as well as kelp granules on veggies.
I’m not sure what kind of experience you are looking for… the
bladderwrack makes me thirsty, I think it’s the sodium, but I don’t
mind. The kelp granules are an interesting change of pace from salt.
A woman my mother knows said she lost weight simply by taking
bladderwrack supplement. I’m having good luck loosing weight,
although I’m not sure how much is due to bladderwrack and how much is
due to everything else.
Since my naturopath told me that I’m loosing energy through my thyroid
(still not sure what that means exactly, just that it’s not good…)
I’ve been even more focused on doing those things that help my thyroid
out - like bladderwrack.
Good luck,
Karen

Unrelated question - Help!!

Friday, February 25th, 2005

Hi Everyone,
I have a question unrelated to LR/ER that I’m hoping someone can help me with.
I’ve got a website and have been developing a link directory. One of the
websites I contacted to request a reciprocal link keeps sending me viruses. For
two days I have received an email with a different virus attached. I have
Nortons installed so it hasn’t affected me - yet… but what can I do about this
guy??
Frustrated in cyberspace,
Bonny

Axel’s post

Thursday, February 24th, 2005

Hi Axel,
Consider me a fan, and quite concerned.
Love your love of language, food, social history, etc.
Meanwhile, I was grateful to learn about curries at the beginning of your post,
and surprised to see what epiphanies you went on to from there!
Concerned, because I hear that you are posting to another board? Which board is
this? Could I have the link, please?
Thank you.

Cod liver oil

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2005

Hi guys
Saw/read somewhere that cod liver oil caused a significant rise in
cholesterol–so I quit taking it and changed to EPA instead as it from the
body of the fish, not its liver….don’t know if this is true or not…
