Sciatica - any suggestions?

Monday, January 24th, 2005

Ann,
I saw some pain patches in a Super Wal-Mart about 3 weeks ago. I didn’t look
close enough. I’ll check next chance I get and maybe I can tell you more.
Sarah
and goes - may be pseudo sciatica whch means that it is really the
piriformis and psoas getting tight and going into spasm thus pressing the
nerve to the leg. Don’t have a reason for that to happen however. May have a
gait analysis done but it may be a disc.

Rice Cookies

Saturday, January 22nd, 2005

Antoinette,
Thank you so much for the rice cookie recipe. Since I can’t find the Rose
water listed in the Nutrition Typebase or in the Live Right book, I would
think it would be a neutral.

CoQ10….generic co-op….ingredients and HOMEOP

Saturday, January 22nd, 2005

Hi Guys!
I agree that the generic website ought to list ingredients, HOWEVER I called
them and they were very good about giving me complete information. I have
been using their CoQ10 as well as the lysine/vit C combo and a few others
including the cal/mag you mentioned.
I have had excellent results in using homeopathic remedies for inflammation
and muscular/arthritic aches. I use ARNICA 30c or a liquid called TrauMed
from HFS. This also makes bruises heal in no time. Does anyone else have
good results with this approach?
Happy Thanksgiving to you all. And be thankful we’re on the correct LR/ER
list. And thanks for Steve, our admired moderator!

Mixing meds and supplements

Saturday, January 22nd, 2005

I have a similar problem in Minnesota in the winter. Once the heat
comes on I add a humidifier to my bedroom. If I’m around the house -
like on weekends - I boil a big pot of water on the stove to put
moisture back into the air. This helps, in particular with things
like nasal passages. That seems to be the first place I feel it. I
keep saline nasal spray handy for the dry, winter months. The
moisture is necessary to ward off any potential invaders.
I’d also suggest you look at the amount of water and essential fatty
acids you consume. Last winter I found that I didn’t have chapped
lips when I was consuming enough water, essentially keeping the body
hydrated from the inside out. Same with dry skin. The dry winter
months allows more water to escape from the body, requiring more
frequent replenishment.

Steve & LR List

Friday, January 21st, 2005

I also agree! Actually I’m a “B,” but this list has become home for me since
I unsubscribed from the Live Right list last week. I just now unsubscribed
from the Cook Right list and the “official” B list as well. My hope is that
this Live Right community will expand into some of these other areas.
Bless you all - you’re a fine group of people.

Wasabe

Thursday, January 20th, 2005

ok, I’ll admit I only checked 2000 of the 9000 archived msgs…
Does anybody know if Wasabe is an avoid or not? I was having it with
my sushi last night and didn’t remember seeing it in er4yt or lr4yt.
I could have missed it…
Also, is Cool Whip an avoid? I forgot to look at the ingrediant list
last time I was at the store.
Thanks!
Peace,
Renee
