Weight + feeling better

Saturday, December 25th, 2004

Hi all, It was last tuesday morning that i got on the scale and had a shock -
weight up 5 lbs!!!! I had been away for the weekend and had had 2 dinners that
had a lot of avoids. Normally, I choose where we will eat at a restaurant but
this time food matters were beyond my control - invited out to dinners (large
groups). I had not prepared well…did not have alternatives in my purse and had
a glass of red wine and then overate on all sorts of things…with wheat and
cheese esp.and then shortbreads!
Tuesday I felt really crappy too and started on a strict diet and today my
weight is down 5 lbs!!!
I feel so much better…less cravings and less hunger…think my body is getting
around to actually burning fat…
I will continue with the meat and veggies approach that has worked for me in the
past and on which I feel good.
Will let you know how I do this next week - I know that a lot of that weight if
not all was water weight but clothes feel somewhat looser.

Green Tea w/Orange?

Saturday, December 25th, 2004

Hi All,
A coworker just shared one of her green tea bags with me. It is made
by Lipton and the bag states:
Green Tea
100% Natural
Orange, Passionfruit & Jasmine
Can I have this? I’m worried about the orange.
Thanks,
Sandust
P.s. My coworker promises that it’s aroma is heavenly while
brewing :-)

The Shaklee lists/our list family

Friday, December 24th, 2004

I was unsubbed for not posting. I was actually glad, as it was way too much
mail and an overabundance of Shaklee promotion. She tried to get me going on the
ILD big time as well (I’m an Onegnon). I knew I couldn’t handle the program,
especially the soy shakes, but she kept insisting it could be done anyway, and
maybe it can in some modified form…but I couldn’t stand anymore push, so I’m
glad I was unsubbed. This list is sooooooooooo much better and wonderful, thank
you all! Our list family here is great!
Love, Lilla
Hi All, I unsubscribed from the shaklee list - E
was really pushing hard
for me to do the ILD with the shakes full of milk and soy and who
knows
what! Yeah, right! No Way. I immediately got a note back from her with
yet
another plug….

olive oil

Friday, December 24th, 2004

In Austin there is a great middle-eastern bakery/deli named
Phoenicia. You can get great olive oil there.
Someone mentioned a dark bottle, and I rarely find it in a dark
bottle, though.

Hi E. Long,

Leslie,
Like Taz said you can get pure flour and make your own
(I am looking for a brand name to get from HFS)
or the DeBoles brand is the best with the least amount
of semolina flour added. Seems to do OK just not
perfect.

Bloodshot Eyes and floaters

Friday, December 24th, 2004

How does one consume silica and would a HFS have it? Caplets, gel
caps? What sort of dosage, etc. I have watery eyes sometimes. It’s
really annoying. A few little floaters that I notice on occasion. Eye
health sounds good to me!
