Whole Flax Seeds

BlankMy dietician told me not to consume whole flax seeds. Apparently it
has a resistance to digestive acids and are mostly eliminated from the body
undigested, hence no benefits at all. It has to be grounded for the body to
get to the good stuff. Any comment on this?

    Hi Hilda,
If I have this understood right, ground is for nutrition, while whole seeds
    are for constipation.

<<As for those interested in flax seeds for constipation there are some
tasty flax seed bars made by Govinda’s www.govindabars.com They will keep

Oh my goodness - you like those!!!!! I tried one once and was so grossed
out I couldn’t take a second bite! Also, we non-secretors can’t have any of
the Govinda bars because they all contain honey :-( Dianne in L.A.

Hi, You have to be careful of greens drinks because the more ingredients they
have in them the more potential for sensitivity problems. Start with the
simplest - one of the grasses - i have one from my ND that agrees but do not
need it often. I am not big on Health food stores so rely on my ND for
recommendations and also a natural pharmacy here. I live in Canada so the
products are probably different. Also our tolerances are very individual. Ann
