Breakfasts/food combining/body cycles
Okay, one last post! I’ve been trying to watch my food combining and
from what I have read in the food combining literature, it is
suggested to have a lighter breakfast, preferably fruit and fruit
juices until late morning because our body is in its “detoxification
cycle.” Apparently from noon until 8pm our bodies are in
an “appropriation” cycle when they are prepared to consume foods. Do
you all think that a high protein meal in the a.m. is too much for
our digestive systems to handle? I wonder if as an O it would work to
eat lighter HB fruits in the a.m and get our protein from
nuts/seeds/meats the rest of the day. Has anyone experimented with
this?
Thanks again!

Yes, I have been food combining for many years
before I started the ER/LR plan.
You must be reading “Fit for Life” since you are referring to
“detoxification cycle.” and “appropriation cycle”.
Harvey & Marilyn Diamond are more towards vegetarianism.
I did and have continued having my fruit for breakfast.
As O’s, we can have protein for breakfast. I have at times done so
and I’ve been feeling healthy as ever.
Hope this helps. I think it’s up to how You feel afterwards.

I am at work, so don’t have my Live Right book handy. As I remember, it is a
beneficial. Now, forget the pickled in white wine or the pickled in sour
cream. I love them both, and they would be avoids. This is just poached
with a little smoke flavoring added. It is not smoked or dried.

Herrings are neutral for secretors and beneficial for non-secretors.
