drinking and eating
The problem with drinking liquids, ANY liquids with your
solid food is that the liquid, being a liquid dilutes
the gastric digestive juices. When digestive juices are
diluted they are less effective, so, drinking liquid
with your solid food impairs your ability to digest that
solid food. Soups are a little different, the liquid in
soup is full of nutrients, those nutrients do stimulate
the stomach to secrete digestive juices, but let’s face
it, liquids dilute liquids, that’s just how it is. It is
best to drink your water at least a half hour before
eating for optimum digestion. If you do drink with your
meal, make it water, and not more than a small cup (4
ounces). Of course, your body is your own…
BTW this advice is beyond the scope of the BTD, Dr.
D’Adamo’s advice on this subject would just be common
nutritional sense. This is a topic that is not blood-
type related.
P.S. that post on the nut/seed smoothie recipe is from
me, maybe I should put my name at the end of all my
posts… it seems that when my posts are uploaded by
others to message boards or re-posted here the first
thing to be omitted is credit to the author… <sigh

Hi,
Just wondering what you all do when you need to take supplements with
meals? I’m taking many supplements right now as I’m trying to get rid
of candida and I end up drinking at least 8 ounces of water before or
after my meals. Any suggestions? I thought perhaps I could take the
supplements 15 minutes prior to eating?
Thanks,
Lisa
