what to eat when you’re on the go???????
hello fellow-O’s,
i have been following the “lifestyle” for several months and i love
the results! i feel better, more energy, improved mental attitude,
and i have lost weight that i gained when i began menopause! so i am
very pleased and am committed to this ‘lifestyle’!
now there is a tiny little problem. haha……..when you are on the
go, running to a kids football game….and there is no time to cook,
the fast food industry leaves alot for us O’s to desire! ( gosh, do
you ever think about the stuff you ‘used’ to eat, and how cruddy it
made you feel? )
but sometimes, my only choice at the moment is a cheeseburger, and i
regret every single bite as it is making its way to my stomach!! do
any of you have any suggestions, other than keeping a baggy on your
person with suitable nut mix?
i hope all of you and loved ones are safe today. it has been a
tragic day in america.
peace be with you, holly

1. When going through fast food. and you need to eat in the car…
:)
Get a plain burger/grilled chicken (unless you don’t mind ketchup on fingers.
lol).
Eat the meat patty discard the bun. Get a side salad. eat it plain.or if you
are stopped with some oil vinegar dressing.
drink water.
2. get bummed about not being able to eat fries.
3. buy icecream and forget about it. (j/k on this one

You might either take your own bread (Ezekiel or manna) and cheese (soy or
rice) in a cooler bag if you won’t be in for a while, and either ask for you
meat to be wrapped in a lettuce leaf or feed the bun to the birds. This is
what Tabitha and others have suggested they do. I get much of my food 30
minutes or an hour away, and this works for me.
Yesterday was a tragic day for our country. I hope all of you and your
loved ones are safe. Susan, thank you for letting us know about your loved
ones.

Well, being on the “Mostly HB” challenge,
i’ve been eating sliced red peppers & broccoli flowerettes.
They are an easy sandwich baggy to take, even in your purse.
Sometimes I had to eat a can of sardines @ my desk while waiting for
my Hunny to finish up work ….so we can go to lunch! (needlesss to
say, my stomach growls when rushing out without breakfast).
And sometimes it’s to McDonalds or BurgerKing,
yep…then it’s a burger with NO BUN plain.
Hey, a good thot, I WILL ASK FOR LETTUCE, TOMATO, ONIONS only.
I’ll see what happens. Thankx. At least, the burger will be freshly
made (????),
not sitting on the warmer in paper-wrapping soaking all the ketchup,
pickle juice, etc.
Also, I keep a small container of KELP in my purse
to sprinkle (when I can remember)…want to make it a habit.
Was not raised with salt/pepper at table.

For breakfast at McDonalds I just order a side of scrambled eggs. ( I won’t
mention the Lemonaide I order to go with it).
<grin
As for feeding bread to birds. You should be careful some birds cannot handle
the perservatives.
