ADMIN: I’VE GOT MAJOR COMPUTER PROBLEMS

Thursday, June 24th, 2004

Hi everybody,
For those of you on my private email list, I apologize, however, this applies
to everyone.
Carol, could you please send this message to the music therapy directory and
Michael?
Elizabeth, could you make sure this gets posted on all the lists?
And for everyone:
I’m having major computer problems. What it amounts to is this:
My hard drive crashed about a year ago and we got a brand new machine. Well
two nights ago the mouse broke on the new computer. We got a new mouse but
when we plugged it in, the new hard drive (as in the one that didn’t crash)
doesn’t know that the mouse is there. All I can do is stare at my desktop.
DH plugged the old hard drive in (the one that crashed last year) to the new
mouse last night and it worked…well…OK enough for me to check email. But
here’s my problem:

* * * * * Oh, no, none taken. Working with 30 - 40 guys on a daily basis has
really toughened my skin. I’ve had the “powers that be” in our organization
say “Cheryl has the hide of a rhinoceros and the will of iron with a poker
face to boot!!” I was raised by a WW2 Chief Warrant Officer in the Navy
(dad) in military fashion, so that was my first introduction to becoming the
Woman Warrior I am today.

Sciatica

I too have had reoccurring sciatica problems, particularly since my hip
replacement. I find that 24 hours after I overdo, I will have pain. My
chiropractor is very good and works on the sacral area and on the lumbar
area. It is important to ice for 15 minutes every couple of hours during the
acute pain times. And it is also necessary to avoid excessive exercise until
you are nearly pain free. I was almost pain free and then had to drive for
about 8 hours on Friday. The next day I could hardly walk. Now it is Monday
and I am about 90% better. But I was able to do very little on Saturday and
Sunday. Walking is the worst thing for me. However I do ride my recumbent
bike for 10 minutes twice a day, starting slowly if necessary. That is
really helpful. So take it easy for a while, ice often and see your
chiropractor two or three times a week of necessary. Good luck.

Do any of you take/eat garlic?

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2004

I have noted that Garlic is a highly beneficial food for us Type O
Non-Secretors. Currently I do not eat/take garlic in any form.
Do any of you eat/take garlic at all? If so in what form, how much,
what brand and can you tell there is a benefit when you take it?
I noticed Whole Foods has a whole line of Kyolic-brand garlic
supplements, but each was a bit diffferent than the others and
because they were so expensive, I wanted to make sure I was getting
the right form and the right amount. Any additional info would be
appreciated.

Question: Downloading to MasterCook?

Monday, June 21st, 2004

Thank you for taking the time to reply, Sarah! : ) Hopefully it
will be easy to understand once I have the software.
<<You can transfer these recipes to MasterCook, as well as get a lot
of recipes from there. After your MasterCook comes in, the book will
tell you how to transfer the recipes.

Monday, June 21st, 2004

Hi,
The food buying club, or co-op, which I’m a part of in the Dayton, OH area is
seeking new members. This has been such a great help to me in handling the
financial aspect of doing the blood type diet that I thought I’d post a message
here. If anyone is interested in more info, please email me at

Naturapathic Clinic that does ER

Monday, June 21st, 2004

Hello,
Wondering if anyone has had any experience with a Naturapathic Clinic in
Frederick, MD. The doctor is Steven Sinclair. They do ER4YT,
herbology, homeopathy, etc. Am thinking of going to address some health
issues that allopathic doctors can’t seem to handle. Any experiences?
Thank you,
Sharon (Springfield, VA)
