Type O+S weight loss - long
Listers,
Forgive the possible duplication here. Elizabeth asked me to post this
information to all three lists. I apologize if you will be getting it three
times. As many of you may remember, I am an O+S. I have arthritis,
fibromyalgia, and had a bilateral hip replacement three years ago. I have
been 90% compliant for about a year. I have been feeling a bit better, but I
have had no significant weight loss. I had strong carbohydrate cravings, and
while I did not eat avoids at all, I was eating larger portions and consuming
more rice than I should. I feel if I could lose weight, much of my pain
would be lessened. I know I will never be pain free, but I sure wouldn’t
miss getting rid of most of it. A couple months ago I was reading about
Elizabeth’s experiences with the I Love To Diet Program. While I thought it
was a silly name, I did send for the tape and booklet. I took the test and
managed to score a perfect 60 for carbohydrate cravings. I looked it over
and set it aside as we are all apt to do. Several weeks ago I managed to get
a pinched nerve in my stronger leg. Not fun and the pain really limited my
already poor ability to be active and exercise. I finally gave up and
decided to try the ILTD Program. If any of you are interested after you
ready the rest of this, please contact Elizabeth for assistance. I am more
than willing to talk to any of you privately of my experiences, however she
is the expert if you have any considerations or more technical questions.
I sent for the products and supplements and was ready to start on Saturday.
I woke up in the wee hours of Saturday morning with a terrible headache. (No
fault of the program, I had not even opened anything yet.) It seems that my
neck was now pinched also and I was not able to get an adjustment until
Monday. However, I had committed to begin on Saturday and I did. In spite
of the raging headache and nausea for two days, I was 100% faithful to the
ILTD program. After I went to the chiropractor on Monday, I was feeling
human again and continued on the program. On Wednesdays I have a great deal
of physical work to do which normally leaves me in significant pain the
following day. I cannot stand up straight, limp badly, and am unable to do
much more than the minimum it takes to get me throughout the day. This has
gone on for at least the last three years. My nerve pain had subsided a
little by Tuesday and Wednesday went on as usual. On Thursday morning, I
woke up early and gingerly eased myself out of bed, expecting the usual.
Much to my amazement, I had very little discomfort. I felt about the same as
I do on most of my good days. I was totally amazed. My energy level is
good. Occasionally I am sleepy in the middle of the day, but it lasts only
for a few minutes. I keep saying, as soon as I finish this, I will lie down
for a little bit. Before I know it, it is time for the late news and bed.
After one week on the program I would say that I have about a 50% reduction
in pain. Now remember, I have not had the dreaded “wheat, corn and potatoes”
for a year. I usually take between 3 and 6 aspirins a day to dull the pain
enough to get around or to sleep at night. I am unwilling to take anything
stronger unless I am in real trouble. I have not had an aspirin, other than
what it took to ease the headache from my neck on the weekend. Any of you
who may be interested in pain relief, general feeling better, or weight loss
- I suggest that you contact Elizabeth for further information. Oh yes, and
the best part. In one week, I lost 14 pounds. I know some of this is water
loss. I know that I will not lose this much every week, or for that matter
every month. However, I was not hungry. I could not eat all the food I was
allowed. I feel good and hurt less. And I do not think about food
throughout the day. I do not crave anything and plan to continue until I
lose the weight I have carried for too may years. I hope this helps others
to look into the program. Feel free to contact me privately if you have any
questions.
