Addicted to Grains
Oh my….when I first introduced myself to the list, I said that this diet
was easy for me, since I had given up sugar and dairy and wheat years ago.
But lord have mercy - I am craving grains like you wouldn’t believe!!!! I
bought some essene bread today, thinking I could stave off the cravings by
just having a little a day. That poor little loaf never had a chance. <sigh
I want to thank the listmember who forwarded the link on sugar & grains; I
had long felt that so many foods I was eating were being turned into sugar
and aggravating my candida, however, I didn’t want to go on an all-vegetable
diet. Now it makes complete sense that I was turning every little morsel of
oats, millet, wheat-free waffles and rice to sugar, keeping my weight up, and
making me feel so bloated. I *do* feel better on days when I just eat meat,
fish and vegetables, yet I still feel like I’m depriving myself, that there’s
something missing.
Anyone else going through this?

I absolutely understand. I too had the cravings and usually nothing would
work to make them totally disappear. However after three days on the ILD
program I lost all cravings for sugar or grains. I never would have believed
it could happen to me. After a week, I have a totally controlled appetite
and simply have no desire to overeat or to eat the things that I know I
should not. I sent a long post yesterday entitled, Type O Weight Loss. You
may want to check it out or contact me privately if you wish.
