Did everyone jump ship?

Saturday, March 27th, 2004

Anybody out there?
It appears that everyone jumped ship and climbed aboard the Cook Right
group, judging from the # in the archives! Is this ER4YT group going
to continue with the same focus? As I haven’t seen any messages come
through, are people getting the questions they used to ask this group
answered in the CR4YT group?
I just changed my delivery options to start receiving CR4YT messages,
so I guess I’ll find out anyway. It would just be nice if someone
addressed the issue since there are still 431 members listed for the O
group.

viviane’s super volcanoes

Saturday, March 27th, 2004

If Yellowstone blows, we are in danger of losing our supplies of
larch. And what is ERFYT without Larch? The good news is that we
would have much less exposure to modern medicine and ultra
processed food. <g

Jerry & emotional/mental health

Saturday, March 27th, 2004

Jerry, I have not really been strict with this yet so I can’t be
certain. But I feel very positive in general with my decision to
follow the O non secretor plan. I am on medication for depression
and anxiety, PTSD, and OC behavior.
I have found in the past that sugar and other carbs will have a
serious affect on my mood. Today, I’m climbing the walls because
I had a croissant instead of protein for breakfast. I know why,
though, so it hasn’t depressed me. I just am jittery and find it
hard to concentrate.
I hope that observing a healthier lifestyle will get me to the
point where I can cut down and then discard my meds. Once upon a
time I didn’t need them…
Have you noticed a difference yet, or are you exploring the
possibility of pursuing this way of eating?

Proberry….

Saturday, March 27th, 2004

A new product from NAP provides the beneficial effects of elderberry,
rose hips, blueberry and black cherry in a base of ARA6…
We now have Proberry Caps (thanks to Dr D - again!). Elderberry is a
traditional remedy for the symptoms of flu. In experiments, elderberry
was
shown to inhibit replication of all strains of human influenza viruses
tested. In an actual placebo-controlled, double blind study (the
scientific
gold-standard so to speak) an extract of elderberry fruit has been shown
to be effective for treating influenza B. What this research showed was
that people using the elderberry extract got better much quicker (more
than 70% were better after 2 days and over 90% of people completely
resolved the infection within 3 days). In contrast, the people given a
placebo often needed as much as 6 days to feel well. How does elderberry
work? Researchers found 2 reasons: People taking elderberry were able

I am a non-secretor so soy products are to be avoided. Are there any lecithin products made from something other than soy? Thanks! Dianne in LA

Ghee - butter

Friday, March 26th, 2004

another butter idea is to mix in a food processor equal amounts of butter and
liquid lecithin (great for cholesterol). It is called better butter and is
better for your body. :-) blessings to you,

Deflect - unsure about it - type O- non-secretor

Friday, March 26th, 2004

Hi! I am a O- non-secretor and have tried lately to take Deflect. It
seems to rev me up and make me somewhat nervous, digestive problems
etc and I have been having trouble sleeping. This is with only taking
1 or 2 a day! I think I need to try Fucus alone and see what effect
that has. I used to take a Fucus tincture and potassium iodine and
they seemed to help with weight control. Any comments? Ann
